This TAS is of the 25 lines speedrun which is a category established on Speedrun.com and was played in the Big20 #19 speedrunner competition. It is the main speedrun of this game together with 50 Lines.
This run also contains the fastest Mario and RadRacer segments and these are themselves considered speedrunnable segments.
On the last piece i push it down fully to reach 25 lines faster. It is possible to not push down manually and let the game slowly drop the piece down for you. this saves the last few inputs in the movie but makes the TAS reach 25 lines slower and is therefore not done in my TAS.

Score Update from 14 606 445 -> 14 609 845

The original TAS was made in FCEUX which did not support the timer correctly, therefore i had problems with knowing where the end of the run was. I therefore wasn't able to optimize the pushdown points fully. This movie corrects that by adding a total of 136 more pushdown points. for a grand total of 136 * 25 = 3400 Points. This brings the TAS up to 14,609,845. As it is not a major update of the score i will not be publishing it.
I believe you can likely still find single pushdowns throughout the run (that i missed,) that can be added for small 25-50 point increases. However i would rather hunt for the 15 million than this when i next put effort into increasing the TAS. So if anyone wants the 14,610,000 then thats up for grabs

The pushdown gain was aided by two more things

1. I saved 1 single frame in RadRacer over the old ending. (The 1 frame timesave puts the Tetris framerules of 4 frames in a favourable state where the score increases the frame before the timer pops up, therefore this leads to 4 frames of pushdown available and 100 points total)
2. a 1 SECOND was saved in mario. (3 framerules). This was achieved by ZEN who figured out that the start segment was 1 frame away from saving a framerule. and two fewer stomps its possible to save one framerule in each segment.
I added this new mario TAS to the run. BUT i also had to modify the second life to stomp an extra goomba in order to trigger the same RNG in Tetris. After doing this, the 3rd life segment didn't work due to enemy hitboxes only being active every odd frame and the framerule loss from the goomba stomp had put me 21 frames behind and switched my polarity between odd and even frames. This meant i had to change that segment completely over the original mario TAS. Luckily it still worked with no timeloss.

All this timesave went into changing the pushdown manipulation into actual pushdowns for the last few pieces making them slow but yeilding more points. This was done with the Tetris framerule in mind as i also maxed out the score possible for the framerule segment as well. In total i had around 90 frames to spare and all went into getting pushdowns. I can see the way i did it not being completely optimal though. There are likely spots in the TAS where you can use 1 framerule to gain 1 additional pushdown point compared to where i used them. Doing this 7 times would break the next 1k barrier.
In general though, im happy with this TAS.
