Expected me to still be slow with my Kolibri TAS? SIKE, I completed this one TAS of another game in just a few days, not including breaks!
This game is actually the first original one Sega made and released on their 16-bit console that was new at the time. Now, as someone who never watched Osomatsu-kun, I can't say I'm angry at this game, but rather very disappointed for its shitiness. This did give me an idea as I noticed how short the game is, so I'd be able to make a TAS of it very quickly. It's not the first one I ever worked on, but it's the first I've ever completed (excluding the NES Donkey Kong one which was just a test), to actually feel proud of myself.
There are some parts in the game that I couldn't pass quickly without getting hit and stunned, and no matter how much I tried, I never managed to pass them successfully in other ways. And for some reason, whenever I try to edit segments of the TAS, there are chances that it could desync it, forcing me to fix each of the later parts. I don't know if it's the emulator or the game causing this issue, but I'm a bit sure it's the latter.
I especially spent a long time trying to find lots of tricks to eliminate more enemies on my way to progress faster and defeat bosses. Sadly, I guess the pathetic final boss won't let me go behind it before it could hurt me after it spawns.
Once after I defeated the fourth boss and going to the next level, I ran into a glitch where the character would float during the level transition instead of walking normally. I think it's caused by crouching before the level ends, and because it actually costed me time, I needed to fix it.
Despite its minor flaws, I believe this TAS is worth submitting as it's the best I can do so far. After that, everything should be done, as I'll move on to continuing my Kolibri TAS.
