Sweet Home is a licensed role-playing game that is based on the Japanese horror movie of the same name. It was developed by Capcom and was released exclusively in Japan. The game can be seen as the progenitor of the survival horror subgenre as it features many gameplay elements that would later be implemented in games such as Capcom's own Resident Evil. You play as five characters from the movie as they find themselves trapped in a haunted mansion after trying to film a documentary there. Each of them has limited inventory space, so they have to strategically juggle key items in order to survive and solve various puzzles. There are also quick-time events that require decisions to be quickly made or else a character will die permanently.
stevenqbeatz, Samsara, AmaizumiUni & kill_me improve the previous run by two seconds thanks to a faster method to get the required item and better final boss fight. Please read the authors' notes for more details.

PHOTOSENSITIVITY WARNING: There are flashing lights during enemy fights (with more intense flashing at final boss fight), which may cause epileptic seizures to those affected. There are alternate encodes that reduce said flashing.
