Sonic the Hedgehog OmoChao Edition is a 2011 ROM hack of Sonic the Hedgehog by Cinossu. In this hack, a floating "companion" named OmoChao follows Sonic and "guides" him along the way. Actually, OmoChao says messages accompanied by a jingle, which gets longer and longer every time a new message comes up while also pausing the game during the jingle duration (but keeps the timer running). The messages appear whenever Sonic collects items, defeats opponents and gets hit more. Therefore, the objective is to collect, destroy or even touch as little as possible. There is also a level ranking system which is given based on how many messages appear in that level.
