Introduction

This TAS improves the currently published [2203] NES BreakThru by dave_dfwm in 06:37.13 movie with 50 frames thanks to
  • slowing down instead of jumping when dodging the rolling stones on first level without losing (cam x) speed (few frames)
  • scaring off lag frames away successfully (most of the saves)
  • properly ending input file (1 frame)
The previous movie (secondarily) aimed for getting high-score. I traded them for entertainment whenever I had the opportunity for it. And still, my final score is 21100 points higher cause of the bullet storm we get in order to BreakThru.

Objectives

  • Aims for shortest input
  • Emulator used: FCEUX 2.2.2
  • Krazy next-gen 4.5D driving mechanic highlights (= zero entertainment)
  • Doesn't documents the glitches used to surprise motherf the viewer.

Detailed informations

Level 1 - Mountain - 13 frames faster + 3200 points
  • Not sacrificing speed for the first 4 + 2 falling stones
  • Manipulated lag frames away
Level 2 - Bridges - 11 frames faster + 5400 points
  • Only 1 lag frame at first lag scene (~f5000) and 2 lag frames at the end of level
Level 3 - Prairie - 4 frames faster + 5800 points
  • Manipulated lag frame(s) away
  • Maybe a bit better jumping near the end? (on that tiny isle)
Level 4 - City - 1 frame faster + 2700 points
  • Manipulated lag frame away
Level 5 - Recover the aircraft - 21 frames faster + 9400 points
  • 4 lag frames for first lag scene at the beginning of the level
  • Maybe 1 frame better ending?

Possible improvements?

Krazier driving. I mean reducing the number of lag frames. Which seems impossible because of the situations and how the game can lag.

Miscellaneous

See you until my next TAS =)

feos: Accepting to Krazy next-gen 4.5D Vault.
fsvgm777: Processing.
