Satomi Hakkenden (里見八犬伝, Legends of the Eight Dogs of Satomi) is a role-playing game developed by SNK for the Famicom that was released only in Japan. It is a brief, actionized adaptation of the classic Japanese epic novel Nansou Satomi Hakkenden, specifically its first volume. The Satomi clan's castle has been plagued by the evil spirit of Tamazusa and is now occupied by monsters and other supernatural phenomena. As one of the eight Wild Dog Warriors of Satomi, your task is to gather your brothers and go on an adventure to find the eight magical jewels and bring them to the castle so the presence of Tamazusa can be cleansed and peace can be brought to the land again.

In this run, AmaizumiUni tries to minimize the really frequent battle encounters as much as they can and lifts the curse put on the Satomi clan in record time.

There are alternate encodes that greatly reduce the flashing and strobing sequences that happen during the battle encounters.
