Power Blazer (パワー・ブレイザー), better known overseas as Power Blade, is an action platformer for the NES that was published by Taito. This version is very different from the one that became Power Blade, the main difference being that every level is different. Other ones include the player only able to throw one boomerang at a time, more random item drops, and the hero being a Mega Man copy named Steve Trevor instead of an Arnold Schwarzenegger copy called NOVA.
The story is also different. Instead of the evil supercomputer malfunctioning due to an alien attack, in Power Blazer, the computer simply went rogue on its own accord, generating all sorts of weird robots for some reason. It's now up to the boomerang-wielding Steve Trevor to stop it because apparently he was the best man chosen for the job.
In this run, Exonym plays this surprisingly quirky game and saves the world from an rogue AI that has a robot Frankenstein's monster as one of his cronies in record time with a few instakill bombs.
