Fatal Fury 2 is the second game in the Fatal Fury fighting game series by SNK, with the SNES version ported and reprogrammed by Takara. Due to the limitation of the hardware, some of the characters' movesets had to be reduced. It retains the Desperation Move and two-plane battle system from the arcade version. Taking place one year after the defeat of Geese Howard, Wolfgang Krauser, a German nobleman, becomes the new sponsor for the new "King of Fighters" tournament. The tournament now takes place around the world with both veterans and newcomers competing and battling against each other.
