This time,me and vsmk3 dicided to beat previous run. We found some interesting glitches that they are useful in the game. So we were very sure the obsolete previous run can be saved more and more time.
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Abuses programming errors
  • No passwords
  • Manipulates luck
Obsoletes previous run by 6030 frames / 100.5 seconds(game time : 3762.text time : 2268) Time: 134063 frames / 37:14 Minutes Re-Record Count : 29148
Our route:Cloud-Junk-Freeze-Burst-Slash-Spring-Shade-Turbo
Intro – 4 frames gained
Cloud – 243 frames lost Because no danger wrap weapon.
Junk – 373 frames gained We improved Bablo's glitch. Thanks Bablo who discovered the trick. The new glitch had been used "sliding on R.JET through the wall ".
Freeze – 967 frames gained Most of the frames gained came from boss battle,we did a entertraining trick before against the boss.
Burst – 166 frames gained The R.JET was very important in the stage.Etc through the bomb, take damege zip the wall.
Slash – 70 frames gained Nothing special in the stage.
Spring – 261 frames gained Two new techniques had been used. One of the techniques was the same in the junk stage. The other was "fly+jump?".I don't know how to describe it,but I think you will like it.
Shade – 11 frames gained Nothing special in the stage.
Turbo – 43 frames gained Nothing special in the stage
Wily1 – 90+120 frames gained The 120 frames lost at bass battle text.In fact it is total 210 frames gained in the stage, because we should caculate frames in game action, not text.
Wily2 – 35+263 frames gained The same situation as wily1.263 frame lost at bass battle text.
Wily3 – 339 frames gained Using some new glitches in the stage.
Wily4 – 742 frames gained Most of the frames gained in cloud and Spring.
Wily5 – 519 frames gained better weapon usage.
vsmk3:
The screenshot I want to use
I think Japan version is more enrertainment than USA version.
USA version deleted the funny information when you selected stage.
And this is another example : http://vsmk3.myweb.hinet.net/RockMan7.png
It seems USA version didn't have the dialogue with Roll and Auto. (I used to use J Rom,almost never played this game with U rom so I just do some tests, not very sure)
I think the dialogue with Roll and Auto is more entertainment than Dr.Light. Too bad it's much longer than Dr.Light,so I can't show that in this movie.

adelikat: Despite the suspect version change, I am accepting this for publication to obsolete the current mega man 7 run.

I almost forgot about this, but parrot14green and vsmk3 suggested this screenshot: Does anyone object to the use of this screenshot for the movie description?
It's not especially interesting. Then again, neither was the previous one.

Well I only watched it once with the .avi, which I had to keep fiddling with to keep the sound synced (does that not get checked before it gets published? meh).

All I could think while watching this run was "The music and sounds of this game are a disgrace to the Mega Man series."
What, would you rather it have the same kind of music from the X-series?
Yes. Yes I would. Because obviously that's the closest they came to updating the NES style of tunes correctly.

On the first Slash Man battle, did you check if it was possible to hit him so that he only does one 'wall kick' to get to the ceiling? It's a bit faster if I recall correctly.
What's weapon could hit him? I had used junk sheild or ice,but I can't hit him.
No no, I mean -- if you watch Slash Man after he unfreezes -- he jumps on the wall, then jumps on the opposite wall, then disappears in the ceiling. It's a bit faster if he only jumps off one wall before disappearing. I was asking if you tested if that was possible with freeze cracker.

Zipping in mega man games looks like crap.
I think it looks cool, and since my opinion is the only one that counts to me, that's the end of that.

Did you mean this? http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g109/vsmk3/?action=view&current=SlashMan.png If he next to the wall,he will jump twice, otherwise only once. I did some test. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/3459/SlashMan%20test.smv ( I using J rom. ) It's possible let he only jump once when using freeze cracker. But it will makes he recovery from freeze much longer. I don't found any way to prevent it. Oh,and the screenshot looks good. It's bettet than mine.

It all comes back to "because this game is Mega Man". Your many other arguments with people here about MM1 was that the game was being broken by so many glitches and wasn't entertaining. That was what you repeatedly said. Obviously S3&K is a different game than MM1, but there are striking similarities that show conflicting interests from you when you vote no on MM1, but yes on S3&K. I'm no longer taking your votes/posts seriously. You were fine with me until you decided to try and invent some logic behind your voting pattern instead of just saying it was the way you felt. I know you don't care what I think, and blah blah how dare I come up with such ridiculous claims, and how wrong I am about your intentions, and how you have the right to vote "no" and on and on and on and whatever. No need to repeat it yet again, as it's not changing what I've said here.
1- I've never said anything other than my votes are how I feel. It looks bad here, it does not look bad in S&K, you could say "BUT TATHS ILLAGIKAL" all you want, but logic never entered into it, it's how I feel. 2- I wasn't aware that you had to take my votes or posts seriously, who are you anyway? EDIT: Actually, since people can't seem to take the fact that I vote no on movies that I think suck, I'll from now on just post "No." Of course people will be like OMG WHY anyway, but I'm only going to give one ansewr: I didn't like it. ...then people will be like OMG WHY and I will not answer, becuase it doesn't really matter.

NecroVMX: There's nothing wrong with voting no on movies you don't like, and there's nothing wrong with stating why, but if you're reasoning is "I think this movie sucks", you're asking for people to respond less than courteously. Just saying "I didn't think the zipping looked good in this movie aesthetically, so I'm voting no" would have been sufficient. Now this is essentially a flame war, which is pointless. People probably shouldn't be goading you on though, as it just prompts a back-and-forth that doesn't really contribute to the topic at hand.

You mean you'll vote No anonymously, or you'll actually say "No" along with it so know it was you and you get attention? Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form. Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form. Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form.

I've done it that way, either way it does nothing but enticing idiots to post how anyone who doesn't like what they like is a moron. And to respond to bag of magic spam, I don't give a crap about attention, actually I wish people would friggin just accept I voted no on movies like this an move on instead of trying to argue with me every step of the way. Limiting the posts to "No" in the future will hopefully (though it's unlikely) reduce arguments, as all anybody does when I post my thoughts on a movie is pick apart everything I say to the point of even pointing out spelling errors (oh no, someone on the internet spelled something wrong, that makes their point invalid!) and mindless insults. I mean hey, nobody pointed out that I typoed the word "answer" in my last post, are you guy sleeping on the job? That kind of troll-like behavior serves no purpose other than to bolster the persons ego. Honestly, If something sucks, I don't see any reason to sugar coat it. And if 99% of the population disagrees, I see no reason to keep my opinion quiet or abide insults without slinging them right back.

I agree that people shouldn't care what you think so much, hell they shouldn't mind so much as to make things difficult when they are just so simple: You didn't like what you saw so you voted no, big deal. I mean really why is one no vote so crucial to anybody, especially with given reason. Surely you don't negate the technical value of this movie as it's completed relatively fast, but, as you've said, it wasn't entertaining to you. I really have no say in all this but I thought I should for, what seems like, no apparent reason.

Anyway, some thoughts: In Freeze Man's stage, in that area with all those icicle baddies on the ceiling, and you have to do a really big jump over some spikes. I'm guessing it might be quicker to use junk sheild to destroy the icicle baddie above that spike pit, making it drop its icicle onto the spikes and allowing yourself to cross it with two smaller jumps.
It's a good idea. But now I think it might be fast start with FreezeMan. You also can beat CloudMan fast by using danger wrap.( Already proved it when refight. ) And the glithes and tricks in FreezeMan and BurstMan's stage didn't save too much time. Maybe worth it.
MM7 has some of my favorite music from a Mega Man game. =(
Me too. I am particularly like Willy machine and ending music.

in sonic3k there was a rather large instance of zipping which moved the screen in all directions... which is more entertaining then someone repeatedly making short zips in a single direction which is what occurs in most megaman games. most megaman movies here have ridiculous amounts of zipping in them and hardly any normal playing which is just lame... but here in this megaman 7 movie i didn't notice it that much and as such am pleased to vote yes on this movie.
