A fun game with good music, improved by 13 seconds. Most of the improvement was during boss fights, elevator scrolling, and bit better controlling of lag. This guy walks very slightly faster than he jumps, kind of like Mega Man, so I do my best to avoid being in the air if it's not needed.

Breakdown of improvement

Level 1 - 80 frames saved from the last two battles.
Level 2 - 3.5 seconds saved from different elevator scrolling and taking less damage.
Level 3 - Around 2 seconds saved from different elevator scrolling, manipulating dropping hooks, and a better boss battle.
Level 4 - 90 frames saved during the level by different level scrolling, and a better battle with the last robot.
Level 5 - Autoscroller! I dance to the music a bit more. That's actually why I did this run in the first place - the music rocks and there wasn't enough dancing to it.
Final Bosses - 3 seconds saved by taking damage to hit the weak point for massive damage earlier.
Thanks to Shinryuu for his previous submissions. Enjoy the run!

adelikat: Accepted as an improvement to the current run.

Bisqwit: Replaced movie file with one the author claims to be 58 frames faster, resetting submission on "new" as I haven't verified this file yet. EDIT: Accepting and taking for processing.

This game reminds me of contra. A contra game set in some hell bent futuristic space colony. I never played this game before, but it seemed pretty fun, and the music in particular was good. The run itself seemed pretty much perfect, with no visible mistakes. There was more than enough action to keep me interested for 10 minutes. I also enjoyed seeing the little character move to the music. Voting yes.

I was thinking during the autoscroll level "Man, I wish he'd let one of those big crates land on--" *thud* YEAH! Good game choice, no apparent flaws. Good music to dance to. Yes++

Journey to Silius -submissions are always great to watch because the soundtrack of the game plain rocks. And anyway, it's an improvement over existing movie and everything seems to be in order. Easy yes.

Actually this game rocks a lot and you made a great run over of my old one you optimized everything really well gratz and thank you for making this movie ! voting yes :)

Wow, your run is pre-frame-advance? Damn, you did a great job Shinryuu. (Especially in the sections that scrolled down, I had massive trouble just matching your times there) Energy and weapons refill at the same time after a boss, so unless my life was less than my weapons, it doesn't slow anything down.

The hell, another one already? Are you sure that you're not a robot? The playthrough was very nice, and the dancing amused me as much as the playing did. Easy yes vote.

Oh yeah! Just when I was wondering if there's going to be improvement to Journey to Silius, JXQ just gives this movie. Run was nice, I didn't notice any mistakes and it was faster than previous one. So it's definitely YES. And music in this game... it just rocks =) Very often I put JTS's soundtrack to the background when I'm working =) And JXQ you are machine!!! There can't be human who can do two so entertaining movies in this short time. Just awesome! And so good games you have chosen!

I improved the last two bosses by 58 frames in total. It's hardly noticeable. Edit: Thanks to Bisqwit for updating the submission file. I got the value "58" from comparing the frame where the final boss asploded. 8 of these frames were gained by being next to the boss for the final shot, so the movie input file is only 50 frames less (and 8 more are saved after this input stops).

This has to be the NES game with the best music ever. Just listen to the title music! Second is Batman, third is Megaman 2. In my opinion, obviously. ;)
