https://files.tasvideos.org/bisqwit/smbhackimpossible2.avi Looks like if speed is considered of virtue, the ceiling route is a requirement.

A little completion of the game, it requires some crazy wall-jumping though O_o http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5437/Super%20Mario%20Bros.%20Adventure.fcm Levels 2-3 onwards are normal (using the B button to change worlds at least)

1-3 and 1-4 made me laugh so hard. I'm disappointed the hack isn't bigger...
<adelikat> I am annoyed at my irc statements ending up in forums & sigs

Haha, that was quite a funny watch ;D. Like 800 "seconds" left when beating the lvl, LOOL.

video lags audio by about half a sec, other than that it was a good watch.

The first level looked like it could be majorly walked over (the irony), all you need is a mushroom and then to remove a block in the ceiling and run forever until you reach the flagpole.

I'm willing to bet there's an invisible coin block above the block he broke. I find it hard to believe there'd be such a massive oversight when all the rest of the design is so deliberately sadistic.
More likely you can't actually use the flagpole from up that high - you'd get caught against the ceiling block and then automatically walk to the right forever.
And, of course, it would have to turn out that I was completely wrong...

Nice movie :) I was wondering (although there is probably a frame rule or something), but wouldn't it be faster to make a jump to reach the flag in level 1-1?

Could be. Though you need to cease the horizontal movement somehow.

Even better, why in the world does it read "boing!" every time you jump? >_>

Because he was using BisqBot to make the wall-jumps, when it finds a wall-jump is writes boing!

This is great. Thank you for keeping up on this - when I saw it had been taken out of "NES Games" I thought interest had dried up.

It might just be me, but why couldn't I download any of those AVIs posted here in this forum?

My guess is that it's because you use software called "CFNetwork/4.0". I don't remember why I have banned it, but probably because it did something not nice from webserver administration point of view. Try downloading without that software.

Nope, that wasn't it. All I was doing was right clicking in Safari and selecting "Download Linked File" Could it be a problem with Safari itself?

I couldn't download the .avis either. I just assumed it was because they were taken down by the time I tried, but we could be looking at a problem between the site and safari. Just letting the movie load in the browser then going to "save as" worked, though.

I guess in the future I'll just have to use "Get-a-Matic" to download the avis in this forum. Either that or just wait until they come out as .torrents. Is there a way to turn off CFNetwork/4.0 in Safari?

I use safari and I have never had any trouble downloading anything from this site. Although I don't know how to turn it on or off.
