For some reason this happens when I try to play the movie, so I can not see what you are doing.

I was served an avi of it on a silver plate, but... well yeah that is a good trick, but it looks a lot like the glitched run. And now I see what klmz meant. This way, one can skip Camilla as well by going directly from the Outer Wall to Hugh after getting Kick Boots. However this would also require some level-up work, unless one glitched the EXP-giving during Iron Golem. If people don't think that this is too much glitching to be compared to the glitched run... well, maybe it cna be used the next time.

I don't think it's a glitch, it doesn't cause strange phenomenon. DSS glitch is a glitch, but you use it also. Hmm, what do you mean by "unless one glitched the EXP-giving during Iron Golem."?

Kill him using 2x EXP-DSS. I doubt he can be killed as a Skeleton then though since I think the big bone disappears when a new DSS is triggered. If not however, then it should be rather easy to perform. But still there are better areas to skip, if one should use this trick, like going straight to the observatory tower after Iron Golem.

Nice trick to stop your vertical speed. I expected you were just repeating a method which had been proven wrong, especially since the screenshot you linked to is the same URL, but I'm glad I was proven wrong about that.

The best thing (imo) to do if anyone wants to do this game by going straight from Iron Golem to Hugh: Get A LOT of Mind Ups from the Mudmen and Spirits in the beginning and Will O Wisps on the Outer Wall 1, as well as two Magic Gauntlets from the Poison Worms (They do drop them (Yes the worms themselves), I have seen it myself) then get the Silk Robe from a Fox Archer to get optimal INT before trying to climb the Outer Wall using summons. I will not try this, I do not like heavy glitching like this in general, and would rather try to improve my old run the "old" way, since there are a handful of spots to improve. Well, good luck with this luck-manipulation mayhem, whoever decides to try it. EDIT: And the Brain Floats in the outer wall as well, of course.

Hi, I did a 100% rate run. It's a long run, does it break the TAS rule?

I do believe that I can enjoy it, and shall watch through it now. The problem might be that a casual player finds it boring, while a fan loves it, like the Pokémon-submissions.' EDIT: Yay this run took me to places I have not seen in years. Cute sequence breaking. I got Metroid Fusion 100%-TAS flashbacks, but was overall impressed. I have no idea what this possibley could obsolete now, or even how the cathegories looks now. My published "Non-glitch" CAN be performed by a human player without trouble, whilst one using the summoning glitch can not. I do not think that it will affect the cathegories... or will it? EDIT2: ziggy (Pardon me for calling you that, but I will never remember the whole name), you might find this interesting for further running of the game.

Wow, that 100% run was very interesting! Some of the rooms were a bit samey, but the relentless pace (and hilarious skipping of the Battle Arena) made up for it. Good job - I would vote yes on this if submitted. Great luck manipulation for the Mind Ups too.

This one can be improved by abusing more crazy glitches. Edit: It's just too long.

What about making a non-glitch run ? I mean, without using the "any magic with two cards" glich at all. I think it would be very fun to see. The boss battles would be more interesting to watch since they wouldn't die after one hit (or a few hits for the later bosses). I cant' make TASs but I wanted to know if anyone had already worked on that or not :)

Actually, I have been thinking of a run with kinda obscure goals. * Play as character class Fighter * Take no damage from enemies (But damage from the Poison Water) * Something else I forgot. Using the Fighter is best for a movie like this, seeing how he hits way harder than the regular Vampire Hunter. Let's hope for a rainy summer... >_>

IIRC the problem with the no-card-glitch approach is that the speed boost magic doesn't become available until very late that way and the character moves at a snail's pace otherwise.

Correct, after beating Camilla, but one need to return to Cerberus' Chamber to get the Pluto Card and... meh. Another reason to use the bruteforcing Fighter. Plus it makes planning easier >_>

There is an all relics TAS that I found laying around. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Here is their VBM Maybe 100% wouldnt be so long after all.

The author of this run is ljffdb2 who has already registered here. This movie was actually intended to be an all-magic-items-lowest-exp (there's no such thing called "relic" in this game at all) demo. The goal was too arbitrary to be accepted here.

I too would enjoy watching a completely glitchless run. It's much more entertaining, in my opinion, to see the game played as the developers intended. It would also be interesting to see which cards and items the author would manipulate. Boss battle would be fun to watch. Frankly, in Cardboard's run, I skipped through the boss battles. It wasn't very entertaining to see super fast menu scrolling and then DSS abuse every time. I'd much rather see optimal cross throws and heart management.

Is there anyone currently working on an update to this game?

It looks really nice. But I have to say that DSS glitch allowing Nathen to use cards that he has not acquired makes the boss battles a bit boring. Although warp glitch needs some specific cards, I think getting them in a appropriate way will be more interesting. Bosses are very atrocious and strong. I do not want to see them die instantly!
Luck manipulation is too difficult.

Agreed. I would absolutely watch an "all bosses, glitchless" run. It'd be an interesting watch, especially with nearly all of the bosses needing to be killed without skeleton form, and it'd be publishable for sure.

Yep, likewise. I understand that movement is a lot slower without access to the top-tier cards, but that just means that traversing the castle becomes more difficult (i.e. interesting). Frankly the existing runs are mostly pretty dull -- run through everything to boss, transform into skeleton, kill boss, repeat. This is a pretty decent game (if a bit monotonous at parts), so it's a shame that its TASes have been so one-note.

How about a fighter mode run with no cards at all? That might be duller though. I actually like the fact that Dracula is the second boss defeated in this TAS, but this is impossible without the card glitch.
