I think I should state the obvious here for the umpteenth time (also cocks). JXQ made his commentary as a protest of how much he felt OOT was a bad game to TAS. It came naturally. It was a one time thing. Not only will making another one spoil the hilarity of the old commentary, it will seemlike JXQ actually wants to be affiliated with a game he dislikes. I HIGHLY doubt he wants to make another commentary either.

Okay, I apologize. Sorry, but I'm not that good at picking up on subtle sarcastic humour. Back on topic...confiscation sure takes a while, doesn't it? And what about Guano?

I've had my laptop back for a while (if you'd have kept your eye on my signature, you'd seen when I got it back), but been too busy for OoT. And Harry Potter took up all my free time this week (but I finished last night.) edit: as time goes on, it seems less and less likely that I can work fully on this... so far all I've contributed is a 6 second faster kokiri forest, and a constant "sidehop more!" attitude. With other projects and an upcoming fall semester that is going to be quite busy (day job, evening classes that I need to commute to) I can't guarantee I'll have enough time for anything really.

Well, seems like I am up to the Spirit Temple now. I don't feel like I should post any WIP until I get further. Everyone has seen what happens in the Spirit Temple, UNLESS I can get a trick off in the slingshot room. Then I will post just a video of that. WIP will come out when reaching Jabu

How far back did you restart from? The earliest improvement I can think of is inside of the deku tree, getting a little boost off one of the skullwalltulas instead of climbing all the way round the vines.

From the very beginning, compared to the old WIP. Way back when I did the Kokiri Forest more optimally and saved 6 seconds at the moment of entering the deku tree. I then got all the way to the slingshot, and Guano took over from there. From that point to where he's at now, nothing was my work except the owl skip, and will likely remain that way since I can't afford to actively TAS this.

Would it be a waste of my time to try Ocarina of Time again? I have been practicing all TAS tricks on multiple games. I am not sure how well I would do. I would make sure to post a WIP everytime I get something new done so that I get get feedback and fix the things that you guys tell me need fixing.

No, it sure wouldn't be a waste of time. Go for it if you feel like doing it.

Go for it, especially if you posts wips frequently, there will definitely be a lot of feedback. Hopefully you won't get too overwhelmed by it!

GuanoBowl probably thinks I am a total noob and would consider it a dishonor to work with me. The reason I am hesitant to start is why work on a run that someone else is already working on.

You shouldn't discredit someone for doing something you would never hope to achieve. Guano is doing a helluva job.

Definitely go for it. Your first submission was not as "bad" or suboptimal as the comments may have seemed to indicate. Just be sure to post regular progress updates (one for every few minutes of gameplay, minus cutscenes) and plenty of people will suggest improvements and offer advice.

Alright I will start today after school. You guys need to teach me how to upload the WIP though. Thanks for all the support. I will try my best to make a great run.
