I have'nt found a run like this yet, so....... I have been working on a TAS of SMB3 SMAS. The run will aim to complete all levels, even optionals. I have done one version all ready (I still need to figure out how to upload videos in a post) and it's kinda...... bad. For most of the levels, I used the L+R glitch, which will be removed (not completely) from the final version. Could someone tell me how I can upload it? *bangs head against wall... hard*

I'd suggest Youtube, in segments. And why remove the L+R glitch only partially?

Tried it. Wrong file type. XD. I have NO skill what-so-ever in changing file types. I'll only use it about four-five times. For sure for 1-6, 2-Quicksand, 8-1, and 6-4.

For an .smv, try http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php Also, if you're not going to utilize L+R you might as well do the original game in my opinion.

Right, but what I mean is, why only use it then? It would be more logical to either use it to its fullest extent for the purpose of speed, or not use it at all for a glitchless run.

OK. dehacked.com worked. Here is a practice TAS of SMW2 1-1 http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1784331918/SMW2_girfanatic501.smv I will have SMB3 V.1 up soon. My computer isn't working right currently (I have 2, the one malfunctioning isn't the one I'm using.) Also, I have found out roue that could be possible (but hard) not using L+R so that glitch is out of the question. I can't guarantee a "glitch-less" because when I try to grab a mushroom in 1-1, i get stuck in a block and ejected into a pit XD. BTW: I used Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island (U) (M3) (V1[1].0) [!] for the above movie. I can't find anything better.

I'm doing SMB3. I only did SMW2 to test dehacked.cok because I've NEVER heard of it before. *hides under bed*

It's interesting to see someone attempt 100% in smb3. Definitely looking forward to the wip. Btw, what are you considering 100%? I think for starters it should be all levels (required and optional) and all hammer bros. Not sure what other criteria would have to be considered to make it a 100% run though.

It's because it's a script written by DeHackEd. He's a member here. And it's only able to upload emulator files (ie recorded runs).

the only optional item that i would consider adding for a 100% would be all 3 warp whistles.

Criteria for MY 100% goal: all Warp Whistles, all Hammer Bros., all levels, all mushroom houses visited. The only thing I'm not going to do is the spade houses. I know he's a member :P.

Hmm...Unless I miscounted, I don't think you'll be able to visit all the mushroom houses due to lack of hammers. There is 1 hammer in both World 2 and 3, making 2, but each of those must be used in their respective worlds in order to get to certain mushroom houses. World 2: Required in order to reach the whistle and mushroom house w/the frog suit. World 3: You have to use the hammer to get to the boat where 3 mushroom houses can be reached. There's also a mushroom house w/a tanooki suit that can only be reached with a hammer in World 4, but since World 4 doesn't have a hammer (if I recall correctly), you might have to skip a mushroom house.

Nyet. Remember, this is SMAS, which gives you the ability to revisit worlds. He could simply revisit a cleared map for an extra hammer.

I'm glad to see someone's finally doing another 100% SMB3 run(and for SMAS, no less). IMO, 100% consists of: All levels (obviously) All Hammer Bros One Coin Ship each in Worlds 1,3,5,6 All White Mushroom Houses All Warp Whistles I'd skip the regular Mushroom Houses(except the ones you need, of course). Ditto the Spade Houses. Neither really adds anything to a run, 100% or otherwise.

.....Ow. I have only done the coin ship once in World 5. Well, I can manage. Hopefully. White Houses will get me. Plus, that means going through 2-2 twice. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/446539799/SMB3_SMAS_100.smv I don't even want to call this Version 2. V1 is coming tommorow probably. If your wondering what happened to 1-6, it's the bad positioning I have my save/load hotkeys in. MAJOR EDIT: I JUST realized. If you need to do the treasure ships, you'll need a Hammer Bro bacause the HB turns INTO a coin ship, making it impossible to go to one in each world and do all Hammer Bros.

well, what i would suggest would be to get the coin ship first, and (after beating all the levels for the world) come back and take on the hammer bros again. reasoning being that you dont need to beat a level in order to kill a hammer bro, but you must beat a level in order to get the coin ship to appear.

Why in earth shall even one of the coin ships be taken? And why shall all whistles be taken and not all mushroom houses? Huge SIGH.

I'd suggest all levels and nothing else. All whistles + all levels + coinships but no mushroom houses or something sounds a bit vague to me.

100% = All levels & Hammer Brothers. Mushroom houses, spades and coin ships are irrelevant.

Can we at least make a provision for obtaining the Anchor? It's such a rare (yet worthless) item, I think its presence in the run would truly make for 100%.

That's what I'm officially doing plus the special White Houses (upon XkyRauh's request, plus it's kinda fun :P)

White Houses: 1-4: 44 Coins (P-Wing) 2-2: 30 Coins (Anchor) 3-8: 44 Coins (P-Wing) 4-2: 22 Coins (Anchor) 5-5: 28 Coins (P-Wing) 6-7: 78 (O.o) Coins (Anchor) 7-2: 46 Coins (P-Wing) MAJOR MAJOR EDIT: Part 1 (possibly, it depends on who thinks it's good) is finally done! World 1 has been done. So that I can start off immediatly, (with very very careful slowdown) I ended directly (the exact frame) that the World 2 screen shows. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/111078423/SMB3_SMAS_100_3.smv Anyway, a cool note is that the movie is 25,501 frames long XD. Also, a note on 1-4: DISCO PARTY!!!
