Hello everyone. After discussing with mostly Baxter and Bisqwit, I have decided to TAS Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5 and Mega Man 6 using one input controlling 6 characters. Now before you scold me for attempting this :), know that I wont be finishing all games and I will tell you why: 1 - Obviously you cannot slide in Mega Man and Mega Man 2. 2 - Mega Man and Mega Man 2 are much shorter compared to the others. Mega Man and Mega Man 2 are 15-20 minute runs while the others are around the 30-minute range. So by the time I've finished Mega Man 3-6, the viewers would see 2 blank screens for several minutes, which is in my opinion bad. That being said, my aim is to finish only 1 stage of each game. The reason for this is mainly due to reason number 2. I intend to kill all 6 bosses at the same time/frame so that it looks entertaining and "clean". This is obviously a concept demo so of course a lot of you will dislike this run or simply will have a hard time following 6 games but in my opinion, this project is well suited as a concept demo run. Knowing I will only finish 1 stage, the whole project wont be more than 4-5 minutes (hopefully) which I think is good and enough as it is. The stages in Mega Man and Mega Man 2 are in general shorter than Mega Man 3 - Mega man 6 so I have to try determine the longest stages in Mega Man and Mega Man 2 in order to "synchronize" with the longer stages in Mega Man 3 - Mega Man 6. I have a good candidate for Mega Man 2 and that is Crash Man. It is hard to decide for the rest so feel free to helping me figuring out the route. What is also worth to mention is I wont be using Magnet Beam in Mega Man because we wont want to speed things up in Mega Man and Mega Man 2 knowing how short the stages are in those games. I would like to hear what you think about this project.

I believe it's "sextuple" which should also elicit some snickers from our oh-so-mature crowd... Good luck, I will be eager to see it!

Not to mention that you cannot have the magnet beam on the very first stage you enter in Megaman 1 anyways, since you need to beat a boss to get it. I don't think you need to do this, since you already proved you have cajones with the Quad run. This is just going to have even less cohesion and fluidity than the quad run has, for the sake of a concept demo? Eh. I think you did amazing stuff with the quad run, no need to prove it with a short version of just one stage each for 6 games. Also, making them all end on the last frame is going to make you go insane, even moreso than working on the quad did.

No disrespect towards your project but you should really concentrate all your awesome TAS-energy towards something more useful (like for example Yoshi's Island or Secret of Mana). I would have thought that if there was one thing the quadrun taught you it's that the concept sounds a lot cooler than it looks. Good luck anyways!

Incorrect: You can acquire the magnet beam in Elecman stage at the first time around. Just check the TAS.

I think it's a good idea so long as you stick to the oringal plan of just doing one stage and ending all the movies at the exact same time. I think it would be a great concept movie.

I mean no offense to angerfist, but this idea seems pretty ridiculous. The quadrun ended up being a huge disappointment, and I think the addition of two more games to the fray would turn it from a confusing video into a headache-inducing one. Even if it is just one stage.

Yeah, I'd rather see Angerfist make a run of a MegaRockMan game that hasn't been done yet than see the old games run in a strange way.

I was not disappointed by the quadrun, but adding another 2 games does not seem like a good idea. Put your skills to better use man, and leave this as what it is: an interesting concept that has already been played out well.

Since when did FCE Ultra allow an FCM to switch roms during movie playback. I never heard of that before.

I would watch the 4 or 5 minutes of this... but I'd rather someone complete the quad run of genesis Sonic games that was started and dropped months ago.

I couldn't get through the quad run. Probably because too many different things were happening at once. It might make more sense to create a more entertaining run than trying to go as fast as possible. Like make movements that would make it easy for people to identify all the games at once, rather than having each game have unnecessary movements (besides walking back and forth or something).

Heh, don't mind me. Even I don't have the potential to tool-assist through six games at once, I know that for sure. lol

But yeah, will this be a six-in-one TAS like that dual-TAS one of MM X1 and X2? Or how will this play out?

Thank you all for your honest opinions. This is the route: Mega Man 1: Cut Man. Should be the longest stage without using the Magnet Beam. Mega man 2: *Flash Man. A lot of this is stage is heading towards the right so I've replaced Crash Man with Flash Man. Mega man 3: Needle Man. I would have picked Top Man but the two big 'miniboss' cats would take too long to kill. Mega man 4: Toad Man. This was a hard call. All stages have pros and cons. Mega Man 5: Gravity Man. This will most probably be a huge pain.. :( Mega Man 6: Flame Man. Because 90% of the time, you are moving to the right. If nothing unexpected wont happen (like losing my sanity a few times doing this), my next post involving this project should be at the workbench :) Wish me luck! Edit: *Route edited.

Yeah I support the idea, sounds very good. 6 games at once will be hard to follow, but that only gives me a reason to watch it several times. Good luck AngerFist.

Lol, you're crazy. This sexrun will completely obliterate any future attempts at multigame TASing.

I'm more interested in what it will SOUND like. Would be interesting to have each game receive its own channel in 6.1 surround. Maybe have AngerFist's screams of frustration as a commentary track on the seventh channel. :o

Yeah, the low frequency channel. To faithfully reproduce grunts, rumbles and moans.

Damn straight. There's a reason why the NES had its own subwoofer jack.

I have some hope that this will be cool to see. Good luck AngerFist! By the way, has anyone considered making a multi-game TAS for autoscroller games? I think that even with 10 autoscrollers, it might still look interesting as opposed to 10 platformer games, because autoscrollers move at constant speed and have strictly limited possibilities for movements, thus being easier to follow.

I'd lol if somebody made a working TAS of 2 games where you have to constantly go in opposite directions.

I can't think of many right-to-left ot top-to-bottom games.
