Is it just me, or does the Google Chrome logo look a lot like a pokeball?

I think it looks like the logo of Windows Media Player.

Speaking of Google Chrome, everyone who is using it should read section eleven in the Terms of Service.

Doesn't it simply mean that if you send something to google, you relinquish any copyright you may have to that something?

display on or through, the Services
Doesn't this bit mean they can do whatever they want with the webpages you view? It's pretty vague for a legal document. Also what the hell? Useless topic alert.

I interpreted it so that Google holds rights to ANYTHING you write/whatever through their browser. This article (in Finnish) agrees with me.

No. You own the rights to everything. It says that at the start. What this means is they can't get shafted if you post something and they use it later to promote "Services", whatever they are.

Oh, I guess I shouldn't read anything with my brain turned off. Well yes it says "you own the rights, but we at Google don't care about that". I don't think it's very nice of them and they should at least give us some cookies.

IMO this "be careful, if you use that software you will lose all rights to what you do" FUD is no different than has been said about almost every possible license agreement out there. I agree, though, that the intention of the section could be clearer.

Because it's a major release of major software by a major company?

I was mainly wondering what the logo had to do with chrome, if anything.

That would be correct if the pokeball didn't look like a kiddie grade slide viewer already. These things were available in round form, too!

Has anybody here actually tried using the browser yet?

I used it for a few minutes. The multi-process crash control is nifty, I'll admit, but that's about the only thing that impressed me. The lack of Adblock for the time being just means I'll be keeping Firefox as my main browser for now.

Why is it that Google Chrome has been out for a day and has 5.8 million hits while Google Ad Manager has been out since March and has 430,000. Bunch of crap.
This signature is much better than its previous version.

it looks a lot like a toy we had in Brazil... http://brinquedoantigo.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html Google chrome is great but it isn't working on 3 out of 6 computers I've tried it. On 2 of them it simply says "oops, google crhome crashed!! retry? yes, no"

My favorite trick is to type :% in the omnibar, crashing the browser and taking down all tabs. (I wish I came up with it, but I just saw it on Slashdot.)

There's no title bar on the browser. I use to open like 30 tabs, with every topics I want to read, and then I look at the title bar to know what the topic is about, read it, and then close the tab. Hope they will add a way to see the title of a page.
