There doesn't seem to be any common consensus on this. Is it T-A-S TA-Sisssss (What I would say) TA-Zzzz

I say it like I say tan, but replace the n with an s.

I find myself alternating between TAS (as a single word) and spelling the letters out.

I either pronounce it like Guybrush does it or like the Dutch word 'tas' (bag).
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

I can't wrap my head round the second choice, TA-Sissssss. "I'm making a tasiss". "That tasiss looks really good". Are these correct?

"Taser" is an informal abreviation for "tool-assisted speedrunner" (or "superplayer", if you really want to nitpick), but how do you pronounce it? Like the word "taser", or like TAS" (as you describe) with an "er" attached?

Yep. (although that wasn't the main purpose of that topic). I pronounce it like ass but with a t.

Like TAS with er attached. So it's basically the same as tanner (tasser).

Same. With the A pronounced as the A in Assisted.

I don't ever really say it out loud, but when I say it in my head I usually end up spelling out the letters: Tea - A - Ess (er/ing/ed for suffixes).

I pronounce it as an initialism rather than an acronym: ti-ei-es

When pronouncing it to real-life people who know what a TAS is, always say "tool-assisted run". It just sounds less weird.

Tee Ey Ess. Those who pronounce it as taasse need to be dragged out back and shot. Do you pronounce it Yue Ess Ey or Yusah?

Nach, I'm sure you can think of a few acronyms which are pronounced/used as any other word, right? Not saying it's necessarily correct in this case, but it might not be so clear cut I think. I know I think of TAS as a word rather than an acronym (like scuba, aids, etc).
