Maybe you could do the statue in the door trick and use something like the DoT skip to preform acute angle glitch. Or is there a C item you could use to jump slash with? Or maybe you could DoT skip trick on that door? Also I was wonder if anyone's tried jumping down from castle after beating gandorf. It looks like the final place you go to when you leave the last door is just down there.

If I remember correctly, someone was looking into that, but the problem is that you need Zelda to open the gate. He was trying to jumpslash into the edges of the gate, but it didn't work. Zelda won't follow you if you don't hit all the checkpoints. I just thought, it would require more bombs but..., is it possible to bomb hover under the tower itself and come back up into the door?

Somebody might want to look into this. I've tried to come up with a useful application for it, but I can't think of any. I don't get how emptying Ruto's bottle would work using that (as proposed by Acryte) except if you already had a second bottle anyway. Something you could do with it is get bottle B, then equip the Master Sword to ISG, then return the bottle to B in all versions. But the problem with that is that once you take out the sword, you can't do a full swipe anymore. I had a theory that you could permanently link an RBA address to a bottle on a C button with it, but the glitch doesn't quite work like that. So it seems useless so far imo.

Sounds like a job for MrGrunz. =p Though there is probably a small chance this wouldn't work out even if you got behind the door. If the run continues to decrease in time, maybe it will actually be consistent with current knowledge some day.

Are you sure you even need the door? The final place you go to before the ganon battle is outside. Maybe just going to this place is enough to trigger the scene.

No it isnt. All this stuff youre mentioning was tested a long time ago. Its a diffrent map, only loaded if you and Zelda rech the exit. Though im not sure about the Zelda part, might be able to skip her. But dont know how. Oh and before anyone thinks of it, the bridge you cross in the trials hall in Ganons tower on your escape is a different one when you enter the tower first time. There are no exits, just plain black walls.

I also just realized that one of the other places that this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snhL6c9nfFQ may apply is in the castle collapsing escape scene. You go through black loading areas in some spots. Would it be possible or useful to clone the actors in a room in these areas? I love these sessions on this topic where we just throw out tons of questions, but usually don't get many useful answers. I think this thread needs more MrGrunz action (he is a good OoT tester IMO).

Something funny/useful might or might not happen if you make the game load more enemies than the maximum expected number per map. In a best case scenario, it'd cause similar effects to RBA.

couldn't this be used in a 100% run to get all skultulas and heartpieces?

No, 100% is defined by picking up each individual item; no duplication glitches. In the Gold Skulltula case, you need to have the Gold Skulltula icons on the world map and the individual dungeon status screens.

Could anyone please hook me up with a save state to try scarecrow/bean skip? Anything with adult link and no water at LH I think would suffice. Also I need to know how you do the ISG, hovers and mega flip off enemies. I'm going to try mega flipping from several distances at peak height and then if that doesn't work I throw in a guay which will be tricky but I'm expecting the guay to work, it'll just be very tricky to set up the tekities right so you can hover off them fast enough to get hit the guay before it flies away.
I've been recently further pounding away at this theory and I've been getting increasingly closer... it seems as if Link is only a few pixels away from clipping onto the platform. My assumption is that it's possible and that Link and the Tektite just have to be positioned perfectly. One problem with starting the run at the moment is that this trick being possible would change the child route entirely and it would be good to make sure that it's possible or not before starting. I'll send you a good savestate for it if you haven't gotten one yet, and anyone else who would like to participate in this just download the savestate and give it a shot... the more people that try this the sooner we can conclude whether or not it's possible. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X1ADH97Z Hold Z as you load the savestate because the camera is set backwards so that you there's a better view of how close you're getting; I find that it's much easier that way. ISG is activated and the Tektite is already behind Link.

Are you trying it with a mega flip? because that would gain you extra height because you could start from higher up. Also you'd want the tektite to jump from the higher ground towards you.

What if you were to do a sideroll sidestep off a tecktite and combine it with a jumpslash?

I've tested this a few days ago and megasidehop + jumpslash gains less high than a mega flip. a mega flip also gains way more distance, so there's hardly any chance, that this works. there could be some weird physics, that allow link to clip up with less high because of the jumpslash, but that is doubtful, especially because of the less distance fact. about the "ganondorf escaping idea": the void, that makes link die when jumping down is always placed like that, that you can't reach one of the platforms under you by jumping down. only thing that might work is using an ocarina/fish dive or whatever disables the void while falling down.

Can you get the hover started with just one tektite? Is there a way to megaflip sideways from the direction you're facing, like maybe a sideroll? Because I think you'd need to backflip against the side wall to gain height while still being a certain distance from the fishing pond ledge.

Grunz its already possible to get from the starting all the way down to the 3rd door without entering the first door zelda opens by timing a damage boost, but the problem is still getting past the bars without zelda opening them. Also, can someone TAS test my idea about using serenade after magic to get to GV faster that I posted on page 265? Visualizing it in my head makes it seem faster but I can't be sure.

Yeah a superflip so far has been the closest to succeeding. Nothing involving jumpslashing/sidehopping has helped. I was thinking maybe a diagonal superflip to get from the highest part of the ground to the closest part of the platform could add a little bit of extra height. I'll post a few pictures sometime of how close I've gotten. I'm pretty convinced it's possible but.. bleh, it's hard to tell how much higher Link needs to be to clip on so idk.

Yeah just one tektite is enough to hover with, I don't think an extra tektite would help. Also the ground seems a bit higher a bit away from the wall, but the ledge seems closest by the wall, so the sideways superflip may be the best idea

That idea sounds interesting. These are probably stupid questions but has it been confirmed that the doorways work without the Zelda opening cutscene? And if so, has anyone found out if the doorways under the Ganondorf fight that are used in the escape scene function as exits before beating Ganondorf? A way to glitch through those bars would be awesome.

As I have said before, I've seen people get down to the last gate, but the problem was they couldn't get through it. In those same videos (which I saw on YouTube), he used the levitation cheat to get to the other side of the gates, and Zelda loaded into the next area. You only need to get to the loading zone for it to work correctly. I wish I knew who posted those videos so I could link you guys...

Interesting, I'd like to know how you're starting the hover with one tektite and how you're doing the megaflip, can you post a WIP? How do you plan to hover not against the wall, don't you need the wall to stop you from flipping away from the tektite so it won't miss you?

Did he go over the bars or under them? Using this to leave the gandorf battle would be an awesome break because you could skip light arrows.

He went under, because I found the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9Qihyx11J0 Ugh, I searched for "skip zelda escape castle" in YouTube and it was the first result. :-P. I should have just did that 2 days ago.

I think your best bet would be an acute angle glitch into the wall. Maybe where that railing meets the wall left of the door. Is that the lowest door you can get to?

Well that doesn't help us a lot anyway and isn't that important right now. What would be important to know if the loading zones for these gatways are already there before the Ganondorf fight. If they are we might be able to glitch into them and skip light arrows. Can somebody check in UoT real quick?

as the escape and the tower before ganondorf are 2 different maps there is no loading zone behind those gates in the tower before ganondorf ;)

You can check that without using cheats, via use of the hookshot clip + bomb hover glitch. There is no loading zone, you simply fall into the void.

As the Tektite is behind Link you do 2 backflips to gain height and after that it should circle around you and start jumping up and attacking your sheild. From there you use sidehops to slowly gain height. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1Q4XSX80 I've had attempts that were a bit closer than this before by trying alternate positions but this is generally how it looks. To set it up you just ISG using the Tektite and run towards the wall near the ledge so that it follows you, then run away from it so it's behind you.
