What version did you use to record this, and what settings do I need to set? I am getting a nasty desync in level 2.

rom was Battletoads in BattleManiacs.smc. when playing it on snes9x V1.43 final, uncheck everything and it should work.

Which ROM? The beta? The US version CaitSith2 dumped? The Japanese version? List your CRC32.

Which US version? Are you sure it's even good? Why don't you use NSRT and paste the info?

Type "nsrt 'Battletoads in BattleManiacs.smc'" and paste the output.

I had the movie working with this rom, after turning off the WIP1 timing, (which I didn't try). ---------------------Internal ROM Info---------------------- File: Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (U) [!].smc Name: BT IN BATTLEMANIACS Company: Tradewest Header: GD3 Bank: LoROM Interleaved: No SRAM: 0 Kb Type: Normal ROM: 8 Mb Country: USA Video: NTSC ROM Speed: 120ns (FastROM) Revision: 1.0 Checksum: Good 0x6756 CRC32: 617AC925 --------------------------Database-------------------------- Name: Battletoads in Battlemaniacs Country: USA Revision: 1.0 Port 1: Gamepad Port 2: Gamepad Genre 1: Fighting Genre 2: Brawler (and I used windows xp myself). You have to remember. this is a command line tool, and as such, double clicking on it will just simply cause that autoclose thing you have seen.

I watched it, looks good. Are you sure Rash is faster than Pimple? Is it just me, or does the tower/rat race level look really corrupted as you go down it? I also vote you should shoot down Silas Volkmire.

I have started the 2p run, but as i wont have free time, vatchern will do the rest of it. These are the first 2 levels, i think they look impressive. I dont know how entertaining can the next levels be, but i leave that on vatchern's hands. I have suggested to him that he makes the following levels, maybe i can do the dark queen fight as controlling 2 characters is not too easy. here is the WIP: http://www.angelfire.com/ex/uobt/battlemaniacs-2p-fodaandvatchern-tas-v1-level2.zip edit: oh yea, forgot to say that was 30.43 seconds faster than the last 1p submission

Looks like Vatcherns 1p run is going to be super-obsoleted. But I'll let Vatchern have his word first though. Going to watch this WIP. Edit: WOW!! That was entertaining alright. I only saw a little stop in level 2's scrolling. And level 1 could be done a couple of frames faster. But it was great to see the alternation atleast. And the boss fight. DAMN funny. :D If Vatchern can beat this with only one player, he must have found out of some serious bug/glitch. I wish him the best of luck.

Yup.. I have to say now, that 2P is WAY WAY WAY more Entertaining then 1P. FODA done the hardest two levels with frame advanced, so for that, I will continue this and make the rest of the levels just as entertaining.

Holy cow FODA, you are one mad, bad and crazy dude. This is great, though I admit that some of the later levels will be a bit of a let-down. I wasn't able to get all the way through without a desync, are you using the same rom and settings as before?

How will the later levels be a let down?:) I have been secretly working on these for 1P, which i am now trying to convert to 2P. The first bonus is letting myself down though.. It seems Impossible to be entertaining. Because of Nach's idea, i should collect as few pins as possible. Out the entertainment goes out the window. so, I know that level 3 will be surprising for all of you and even me. I have it layed out. even the lay out is exciting for me. I cant wait to finish this!

well, then try to run really fast and seemingly ramdomly missing as many pins as possible by only a pixel (like with the spikes on the tree level) (is it possible to run on the bonnus level? hmm if so, i'm sure that not vertically, only horizontally which is not good)

well, what i hav got made so far, is like, the toads just bouncing back and forth off the walls, and just missing the pins and bounceing back to the walls again and etc

Yea, that may be good. If it looks like the toad will hit the pin but avoids on the last moment, than it is good.
