Here's a quick test run that uses the best known route: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5542/blob.vbm Hopefully someone is interested and makes a better movie someday. It's a very funny game.

Well, here's another test run, 38 seconds shorter: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5559/blob2.vbm There's one part with 4 seconds of continuous lag and I have no idea how to avoid it. Otherwise I might even make a submission of this.

That was quite impressive. I'd say you could submit that.

Thank you for watching it, LSK. I'm starting to think it may be an emulator failure, because I've never seen lag like that before. I've also found an in-game bug that freezes the VBA frame counter. Shouldn't that be impossible?

No. I've had it happen in VBA (Pokémon Red). I used a glitch to get a level 0 pokémon, which had 0 defense. When it got attacked, VBA tried to divide by 0 forever, crashing the computer.

I just watched the NES Boy and His Blob video and thought about this sequel. I know this thread is a few years old but I think what we've got here already is important. Are there any further plans for this game? Does it have the same bugs?

Yes, it too can be improved! Looking forward to it! (Not doing it myself.)

Lol - this and the NES run are of exactly the same length.

They also have the same overall rating at the moment: 7.1 It is the international standard for this game series. Because today... TAS means Tool-Assisted Standard. How about fixing the situation by improving the GB version?

Great to hear you're interested, Mr. NitroGenesis. I believe minor improvements are possible in the overall precision and lag-reduction. I am not aware of any major improvement, but the game has gotten very little attention compared to the NES game, which has seen 8 publications! The game is a bit more complex than the NES SMB. which has seen 16 warped run publications. Statistically, the probability of a major timesaver is very high here. You just need to find the right item to use in the right place. Or the wrong item in the wrong place. Good luck!
