Ah, the last DTC was a good experience for me. I'm not just talking about being part of the champion team, but the experience during the TAS creation as a team was certainly an enjoyable one. If it's anything at all like last time, I'll have a nice driving force where I'm given pretty consistent pressure, feedback, and information. While I have found myself lost into delving into some game's mechanics, instead of TASing various projects, I do believe I'll stay focused on the DTC4, much like I did for the DTC3. And hopefully it'll get me back into shape for TASing the DTC3 game. As for what team, assign me randomly. Or some team could claim me, I guess. "So, just how much is a DTC3 champion worth, eh?" Somehow, I imagine someone claiming me right away, then asking for like 5 bucks to give me away.

I'd like to participate (if the contest starts within the next ~40 days). I didn't try such a thing until now, but I think it would be fun.

Is this going anywhere? What are the current list of games being considered? Why am I not on the list as tentative? And why do I look so good in red shoes?

1. Yes. 2. They are kept secret until the contest starts. Hence why suggestions in the thread are ignored. 3. You said you wouldn't participate if the platform choice didn't suit you. I can't have you ditching a team because of that. 4. ???

I will echo arukAdo's question, in a different phrase. When will we get into the next stage of this Dream Team Contest? If there are any hold-ups, let us know. I'd hate to lose track of this thread and find out the whole thing started 2 weeks ago and my team is upset at my absence. Preferably alter the thread title with this extra bit of information, if there's room.

Will people get a forum trophy after winning this edition of the contest? To me winning this kind of competition seems like a much greater achievement than making the best TAS of the year.

I think the competitors' vote are enough regarding the game choice.

I think allowing the general public to vote on initial game choice is easier, more fair, and more likely to produce an enjoyable video.

I accept. Saying this just in case anyone had any doubt as to my intentions when I said "Or some team could claim me, I guess."

Good luck guys. I look forward to following this. I'm sad that RL will prevent me from participating this time. I am most excited about the rule of mandatory submission of the winner. I think that was the one downside to the last contest, the fact that we still don't have a submission *looks at FRK*
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

If anyone cares, I prefer the idea of having the whole public vote on which of the chosen games is going to be the contest game. This gives a smaller influence from the competitors on what the game is going to be. Hopefully, it'll more likely reflect what people want to see done. On the other hand, said people who aren't the competitors aren't going to TAS it, so it might end up calling nightmares into the minds of us TASers for having selected such a difficult game. But we're just that insane anyway, I hope.

I say to pick a few selected players (active or not) who aren't gonna participate in the contest and ask them to vote for the game. The opinion of a few connoisseurs is much more valuable than the opinion of the oblivious masses.

You never disappoint me. Let's vote for the players who will be to vote for the game!

I think only a select group of players should be able to vote for the select group of players who will vote for the game.

Yes, we should make sure only wealthy white land owners vote, because they know what is best for the plebeians. Anyway, the only reason that it WOULD isolated is because the players in the contest have to suffer whatever game is chosen. Sometimes, the most popular game would be the worst TAS to make. Thus, if I did separate the vote, it would only be to allow players in the contest to vote for their own mercy and sanity; not out of some superiority complex.

We, the people who joined the contest, are pretty confident in our abilities and want some decent and interesting challenge... not some random bullshit game like Alien Hominid. That's why I want to have the game selected by people who actually know what they do. These are some of the people I would ask to decide what game we should play: (I might add more later but these guys are very obvious choices)

I am not going to do this, don't bother. Also, Alien Hominid was a great choice, it had RNG manipulation, different forms of movement, and lots of choices to be made. Ironically, of your list of people, 1 has never made a published TAS, and 1 has stopped TASing for years, and 1 mocked your idea.
