After I finished my latest JALECO run (Rod Land), I found this other "gem". It's about a space ninja who has 1 life and instantly dies if doesn't kills the enemy. Rom name: Ninja Jajamaru - Ginga Daisakusen (J).nes Here's my movie file that completes World 1 and World 2 stage 1. What do you think, what's your opinions? Do you know the game and know more glitches? What I mostly abuse is "infinite" rolling.

Lol, you've seen how a couple days ago this game was mentioned in NES wishlist thread? NitroGenesis said he has tried tasing it.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

I seem to recall seeing someone say that you could jump on spikes in this game and be fine so long as you jumped as soon as you landed. I haven't watched your WIP though; maybe you already know this. Anyway I'm pretty sure there's discussion of this game somewhere in the forums already.

There was an American prototype of this game called "Squashed!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFP23er8Zmw I remember a guy named unknownfile did some TASes of this game, but he closed his YT account. I'll look at your WIP later.

I tried to do "infinite running" without success. How did you do that in your american version tas? Also, does it faster than infinite rolling (since I don't need to recharge at the end of stage 1)? edit: I finish the level at 362 while your unoptimized run finishes in 357.

Yes indeed-- and it looks like my old first wip is in there. Who knows if it's any good though: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4654

Good job! You are much faster than me (because of using infinite running instead of infinite rolling) also the electricity bug is new to me (even that I used the very same at the boss battle)! I should collaborate with someone on this tas since I'm not that good in solo tasing =) edit: at least my boss fight was faster than yours but still you are better than me Inzult =)

I haven't looked at the WIP (yours or mine) but I do recall learning that you could hit the boss while it was still on the wall after I made it, so it's not too surprising you figured a faster way. I got really hung up on trying to force my way into the walls after that and couldn't do it, so made no more progress.

There's only two minimal things you didn't used: - hitting the boss earlier on the wall and using "jump on collision detection" to be able to do another hit instead of dragging away as normally should occur - starting the next scenes faster by pressing T on the 1st possible frame window not the second - holding A for faster text speed I think I will try to optimize your run in the near future and implement these tricks (most of them just saves a few frames) edit: here you are, your base file with these improvements: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1755960232/MESHUGGAH_Inzult_NJGD.fm2

Well! That looks pretty good with the little improvements. I'd certainly watch a full run, though my desire to make TASes is pretty much gone these days. I'm glad to have helped a little, at least.

Well I guess I have to do it solo =) I made a new run from scratch which improves additional frames by getting better positions at level-end warps by watching 0x0026 speed-o-meter (3 is the max). On topic: of course you helped, you show me the glitch and more optimizations that motivated me to do MORE optimizations =) I will upload a movie file when I've done at least more worlds.
