i think if i have to re-made a level it's this one yes. i'll let the run like this for now and calculate how many frames i loose. i'm pretty shure this run is not 'the best' but for a fisrt try i'm proud of myself :D in a other hand if i loose too much frames with this f****g crystal cavern, i'll remade them. i just hope the cpoy/paste will work wthout desync ( i have fix point speaking to the old man ) .. for tooday, i'm victorious and i let it like that. what do you think about the run in general? [ edit ] have you succed in speedrunnig it under 40'?

In general, this is a great effort on a pretty difficult game choice for a first TAS. However, the general idea is that if you are aware of possible improvements that aren't too difficult to implement, it's encouraged to implement them into the TAS before submission. :)

question. is it possible to post a smv file in the wip thread? my conetion is really good, and i dont want to upload a video file if i have to remade stages... i'm intrested by point of views about my game beacause i'm pretty shure i can improve some stages, and i dont wanna post a tas with more than 500 to 700 frames loosed (i'm a newbe, i don't know how to be perfect in this game )

1 i'm not shue i'll check 2 it seems not to be possible, i tryed but i was stuck... to resume i loose time on crytals cavern 1 with the bat waiting, and maybe on crystals caverns 2 taking damage and not killing the two dragons after the 1st ice bloc?

Yeah just take damage so you can die as soon as possible right after pushing the blocks.

i'll check beacause i loose frames when i die.. i think i'ts better but i'ts some under 50 frames. the main problem is cristal cavern 1 i dont know whaat to do.. i'll try tomorrow ( loosing like 500 frames ). for the shortcut in cc2 for the last ice bloc i'm more than pretty shure it's not possible, i'll check too.. saving 550 frames it's allright afterall ^^

ok i improove the run ! saving around 270 frames with the bat jump on crystal cavern 1. i was obliged to kill on mob in cc2 too, working on the possible death in cc2 and bat jump sortcut ( not try yet ) [ edit ] saving around 440 frames with : bat on cc1 abuse death bat sorcut. as you say. i'm afraid about desync after, wi'll see...

i'm fighting with desync proble on boss 3. i save now around 350 frames, it's still good english lesson 1 how do you write ' witch is good ' ?

Could this topic instead be moved to the SNES Games page. I like checking up on questions that people that are new to TASVideos have so when The Newbie Corner has an update I think there might be a real question but instead it is just an update on a WIP where everyone involved has 40+ posts and been on the site for over 9 months.

ok i remade all desync, improove 2 3 frames by here, loosing 2 3 frames there.. finnaly i win 405 frames! the vidéos is better than before, no waiting times.. i'll let you watch that, but i think that's a good final vertion :) TAS Prehistorik Man full.smv

So I've been trying to learn this game (All Levels RTA) and decided I'd play around with TAS'ing it a bit as well to try and find some new routes through levels and other fun nonsense. Then I kind of got the TAS'ing itch, and now I would like to TAS the All Levels category of this game. But my question is, would that be too arbitrary for submission? On one hand, it's still technically Any%, and the skip levels feature of the shop is definitely quicker. There's no doubt about that, but it does remove a section of the game. So on the other hand, we showcase the entirety of the game instead of skipping certain parts of it. Either way, I plan to look into and probably end up TAS'ing this game. It's a ton of fun to work on and mess with. Magus' TAS was a pretty nice inspiration as well, and a great resource to reference. Any input is appreciated, as always. Thanks!
