I never got Dolphin to work, so I hope that Bizhawk, an emulator I know to work on my computer, will ever support adequate Wii emulation. I want to TAS New Super Mario Bros Wii sometime (maybe never, but it's an idea. I may even do cannonless-capless-coinless).
If I could have a tool-assisted real life, I'd... Being a novice, I'd probably load the wrong state, have the IRS AI bankrupt me, and eventually make me want to kill myself and redo 11 years of hard work.

(details on the "How can I get Dolphin to work?" topic in the appropriate category),
There is literally no details in that thread. Whatever your problem is, it probably has a solution here.

Never. We'll all be sitting in our Brainjars in 700 years, cursing that we never produced enough Wii consoles to meet demand 700 years in the future, where mankind hangs in the balance of the ability to beat Skyward Sword faster than the Andromedan peoples.

porting the Dolphin core is nowhere close to being on the BizHawk roadmap currently. There's a few logistics problems, but the most important is the fact that it would take an extensive carving up of the existing emulator and that emulator is under active development. The logistics would be problematic.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

Well, the good news is dolphin's core is completely separate from it's gui. I expect dolphinhawk within a month.

Or it could be WiiHawk, and any special icons for it could be a wee (small) hawk.

thats not a bad idea, but i'm afraid the competing idea of a tuna with a beak is pretty irresistable.

Okay I'm starting with I know Bizhawk is younger than Dolphin so don't snap crazy. Anyways, Dolphin emulator is young there isn't many people behind in developing this you chose Mario Bros. Wii and let me be frank, Wii games have a shit ton of desync, so you must go through find that desync and continue from that point. It's long and tedious and how new this generation is (5ish years) it is surprising that Dolphin tas emulator is better than the Playstation 2 one (and mupen). So in all Honesty there is no point of doing bizhawk Wii at all, seriously all you need is patience. Gamecube tasses fine on Dolphin because of tas input, all the Wii part of it needs a tas input and it would be set great. If that's not the angle you want don't throw a tantrum at me (it's a good drink (sarcasm as it doesn't exist... I wish it did though :/)).

I think waiting until dolphin stabilizes on updates for a while before making dolphin/GCN/Wiihawk would be better than having 2 desync prone emulators for the same console.
