This is my first TAS about Super C. It is 467 frames (7.78 seconds) faster than the previous published [2418] NES Super C "1 player" by Soig in 12:25.19. In Stage1-Stage7, 209 frames are saved come from details. In last Stage, a new glitch (splitting pause in game) help me avoid one death,then 196 frames are saved.Another 42 frames are saved owes to Mr_K's suggestion--using weapon F.And 20 frames are saved owes to faster walking.
Some useful ram adresses for Super C, you can look here. In this [/Forum/Topics/21&start=40|topic], Heidman proposed a idea how to skip the second tank. In this run, the second tank's ram(HP:0682,status:06F2) ,only 06F2 is 42 or 34 while you beat the tank, can you skip it. But it is a pity,you will lose more time if you do it. 070F is another useful count ram for crab in Stage 3. Routine count is 7-0, and you can change it in 5-0 if Bill near the crab.

This TAS is faster than Baxter and adelikat's NES Super C in 12:20.02, I am wondering the glicthed whether work in "2 Players" run.

Great job with this! Levels 7 and 8 were especially interesting. I like how you showed off several different weapons in Stage 8 for variety, and the purple enemy at the end was funny. (I don't know if I like the death there though. ..) Why do you get the Spread gun in Area 6 instead of the machinegun? Doesn't S give the bosses more health? Bernka: It seems the glitch should still work with two players, since two players can still abuse screen-scrolling bugs. I think it was said 2-players is going to be faster than 1-player. (Bosses have the same health for 2p as for 1p, and Stage 5 really benefits from multiple suicides in 2p mode.)
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... In Super C,every bullet can only make one damage except "F".Spreadgun is same as machinegun in theory.Just the opposite,Spreadgun will increase extra BOSS'HP(16HP).But Spreadgun can play a role in intestine in stage7.Furthermore,take one thing with another,Spreadgun can give the bosses more damage.More damag compensates more health.

Big yes vote. And that pause glitch was very interesting. I personally keep hoping someone will do a 2-player run of this game at some point, now that there are known improvements.

If any games deserve being frame warred over, it's the contra trilogy :) I actually think the frame warredness of the contra trilogy is outdated due to new findings in each game. Maybe it can be trimmed down a lot with a closer look?

Hey great run Xipo! That was a nice find on the pause trick to avoid getting crushed. Since you avoided getting crushed, that means that it's possible to collect F and keep it through the boss. I'm not sure if I'm doing the pause glitch in a way that's perfectly optimized, but after collecting F I was able to optimize the last part of stage 8 and improve the movie by 7 frames. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3677753/Xipo-SuperC-1P_updated.fm2
