I wasn't sure if this should be in the Super Smash Brothers 64 section or this section.
I am creating Tool-Assisted videos of some Super Smash Bros. 64 gameplay and having a great time. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to use the 'Cheats' menu to load All Characters on start-up so I decided to play the game and obtain all the characters. Once I did that, I start recording a video, saved it, and was going to load that video and start recording a new video from there. I did all that I said above, but when I load the file I get an error message saying...
"Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application..."
... and I can't get it to load. I tried doing research on my own about how to fix it, or even to figure out why I was getting the error message, but I was unable to find anything. Can someone please explain why I get the error message and what I can do to fix it? Better yet, someone what to explain how to use the 'Cheats' menu in BizHawk. I've spent about 4 hrs trying to get that to work. I'm to the point where I can change the Address to the Value that I want, and freeze that Address, but then the ROM doesn't want to load. Now I'm no genius (in fact, quite the opposite), but I think during the first 40 frames, the emulator needs to compile itself, or the SSB64 ROM, and if that address is frozen with a specific value, it can't compile? Anyone have any thoughts.
Sorry for the novel.
Please help me. I'm stupid.
