I wasn't sure if this should be in the Super Smash Brothers 64 section or this section. I am creating Tool-Assisted videos of some Super Smash Bros. 64 gameplay and having a great time. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to use the 'Cheats' menu to load All Characters on start-up so I decided to play the game and obtain all the characters. Once I did that, I start recording a video, saved it, and was going to load that video and start recording a new video from there. I did all that I said above, but when I load the file I get an error message saying... "Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application..." ... and I can't get it to load. I tried doing research on my own about how to fix it, or even to figure out why I was getting the error message, but I was unable to find anything. Can someone please explain why I get the error message and what I can do to fix it? Better yet, someone what to explain how to use the 'Cheats' menu in BizHawk. I've spent about 4 hrs trying to get that to work. I'm to the point where I can change the Address to the Value that I want, and freeze that Address, but then the ROM doesn't want to load. Now I'm no genius (in fact, quite the opposite), but I think during the first 40 frames, the emulator needs to compile itself, or the SSB64 ROM, and if that address is frozen with a specific value, it can't compile? Anyone have any thoughts. Sorry for the novel.
Please help me. I'm stupid.

It's called a bug. You're getting the error message because it's breaking. Post your movie that youre trying to "load", say specifically how youre trying to "load" it, and state which version of bizhawk you're using. Giving all characters is probably not the easiest cheat to make.

N64 recording from "Now" doesn't work. And won't work in the next release. In the next release however, I at least disabled the option. It does work for any other core, however.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects
