I'm playing Smash Bros Melee v 1.2. dspdump 0 and 1 are really short with seemingly no content, and dspdump 3 has the audio, but it is even more desynced than the audio in the avi.

Also, basic sanity check, you are applying the given timecodes (timecodes.txt?) to the video? As otherwise the video has who knows what timings.

I don't seem to have any timecodes files. According to the dolphin encoding thread, it is supposed to be with the frame dump but it does not appear to be there.

Did you check Dump Audio to AVI when you rendered the video?

Do you have timecodefps.dll in your Dolphin folder? This should be what creates the timecodes.txt file.

No, I didn't. Thanks!

You only need to not have dump audio to avi on to get a timecodes.txt. If it's on, then the video will automatically be converted to 60 fps cfr, and it won't give you a timecodes.txt.

A couple more questions: 1. Is there any way to prevent the emulator from crashing at the 2GB split? I know that there is natt's pipedec but I have a 64 bit dolphin. 2. Once I have all of these files, what do I do with them to produce a full video? An explanation with limited technical jargon would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Operation related to TAS of N64/GC/Wii/PS2 emulator is often investigated.

I tried to use this and it wouldn't open, saying "this application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." Also should I move on to 4.0 now?

It's generally a good idea to use the latest version available when you start your run. If you've already started on a 3.0 revision and want to switch, you'll have to decide if the newer version's changes are important enough for you to have to redo all your input.

Can I get an updated version of the A/V Sync Hack build? I ask because version 4.0-1192 of Dolphin fixes the F-Zero GX Rain effect for Lightning's tracks (and a LOT of other good things). Version 4.0-1592 added more accurate DVD loading. It would be nice to have for accuracy sake.

Thanks ! It works very well ! (finally got an encode with good video and audio !) I do have a problem though, Dolphin crashes everytime it tries to create "framedump1" (so every 2gb I guess), I'm using lagarith codec since I don't really know any other. Any idea why ? (I can still create video encode using the non-a/v hack version and then audio with this one, I just want to try to get everything in the same Dolphin)

that happens with me on 4.0.2-dirty, make sure you checkmark dump audio and dump audio with AVI

Yeah, there is a known issue with Dolphin and dumps. I would suggest using Pipedec in that case.

Thank you very much for the A/V sync build, Fog! It should definitely be useful.
