Post subject: VBA-rr Movie Conversion - desync.

I managed to move my Gameboy movie to Bizhawk and it desyncs, not sure why, I read that section where it says to add a blank frame and I did and it still desyncs, I'm not sure if the bios has anything to do with it. Enemy positions have changed also. [adelikat]: Edit title to be more precise. The original title was misleading that you had a desync while recording a .bk2 movie.

They are two different emulators, so sync is not guaranteed.

Add a blank frame is for taking GBA movies from earlier versions of bizhawk-GBA to current versions of bizhawk-GBA; not for anything else. What was your movie originally recorded in?

What Buddybenj said. My guess is that it is the emulation of the BIOS, even if you are skipping it, it will probably affect things like the RNG. VBA-rr doesn't emulate the BIOS at all, which is incorrect, even when skipping the BIOS screen.

Hmm okay, maybe I'll stick to VBA for a bit longer seeing that there is not much point in me re-doing when I'm so far in
