[2552] PSX Warcraft II: The Dark Saga "Human Campaign" by Flip in 1:17:53.32 great job manipulating the heck out of the AI and getting it to miss again and again, and other great antics. I can't decide which two of these are better, but I love how lucky the bros are in this. [2732] NES Mario Bros. "2 players" by Spikestuff in 07:06.98 [2671] NES Mario Bros. (Classic Serie) "2 players" by Spikestuff in 09:09.64 This might seem weird, but manipulating the level to get Sam (Slick?) to actually help was really impressive to me. [2675] NES Q*bert by unagi in 22:25.42

Seconding all of those. Also, kurabu, in case you haven't figured it out yet: <movie>{movienumber}</movie> (Use [] instead of <>) Where movienumber is the number which appears before M in the url.

I'm just reminding everyone that this award is for the TAS which you think performed the best luck manipulation. Anything with heavy luck manipulation is eligible, however, for the bulk of such TASs, the luck manipulation isn't necessarily noticeable in any perceivable way. So remember, you're voting for what you think manipulated luck the best, not for your favorite movies on an eligible list. I question if some of the runs nominated above were actually perceived by the nominator as showing off their luck manipulation.

So Nach, how "obvious" does the luck manipulation have to be? Should it be obvious to any viewer who has played the game, or can it be something you really have to read the submission notes to understand?

It should be obvious to someone familiar with the game that luck is being manipulated like crazy. If you're not familiar with the game, and you can still tell it's being manipulated like crazy (like the dice are always double six), even better.

The "Heavy Luck Manipulation" tag has been misused, I pruned the eligible list. Prior to this post it was 49 movies, now it is 30. Several nominations have been removed. I discussion about what constitutes "Heavy Luck Manipulation" isn't appropriate here and I suggest any posts go to a relevant topic I started.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

[2583] NES Rockman 4 Minus Infinity by tianwodeai in 35:40.26 I don't know why this movie have no "Heavy Luck Manipulation" tag. I nominate it. And I nominate this, too. [2520] GBA Pokémon: FireRed Version by mkdasher in 1:44:17.34

Added the tag, it's now available in the OP list. Tag definition seems to have been clarified: If the manipulation the run does can not possibly be replicated in real time (at all), it deserves Heavy luck manipulation tag.

I voted for Pokemon Emerald Version. Mostly because out of the 3-4 that seemed to have an extraordinary amount of luck manipulation, that's the one I know for sure how extraordinary it is.
