CoolKirby did a really fantastic job this year. However, it's hard to argue with Masterjun. Mothrayas also made several very good entertaining TASs, that had actually had substance to them. Flip was terrific too. And of course tianwodeai, who made my favorite TAS of the year.

I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Definitely seconding. He had a lot of variety (different consoles, 2D and 3D, genres) in the many runs he's had published this year, and each one had the same (very high) level of optimization and quality, something that you rarely see from a single TASer.

The man who beats every game in 30 seconds and decided beating a game fast was too trivial and decided to turn it into another game instead.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

Masterjun was pretty much unbeatable this year, though I'm voting for solarplex and Mothrayas too due to all their entertaining and technically well-done runs.

Masterjun, because he "ACEs" games down to seconds. Solarplex, because he tackled even the most complex 3D games without much TAS history to them.
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

This one's a no-brainer. No other TASer in the world can do what Masterjun does.
