This is where I disagree. I like the fast blinking better than the replacement of actual transparency. Also the as feos said, there may be artifacts from deblinking. I think in the end it's a preference like having hqx filter. The fact it may have artifacts though is what concerns me.

With a combination of 'media.mediasource.enabled' set to true, and optionally setting 'media.mediasource.ignore_codecs' to true and using a nightly build, you can have 60 fps with firefox too :)

If you don't think there are artifacts in the deblinked 60fps footage, try 0.25 speed. Climbing the platforms(Metroid) shows this best.

Agreed, the difference between blinking at 60 FPS and deblinked is very apparent and the former seems better to me after watching many TASes with blinking.

Yes, but I don't think YT is analyzing any pixels to detect blinking - it just looks at the framerate.

Please keep in mind that deblink can be used in many ways, and just applying it with default settings to the whole encode won't produce optimal results. This is the file I used for encoding Lethal Enforcers This for Bubble Bobble This for Rolo to the Rescue This for Claymates

I think I already mentioned it somewhere in these forums probably, probably not (probably just irc). This is a Chrome Glitch: Same video, opened in Firefox. 480p60fps is a glitch that's actually just 720p60fps in this glitch and that 240p is actually not a proper selection anymore. What do you mean by proper selection? It's right there in Pokota's image. When you select 240p it's 360p when you select 144p it's 144p the resolution for 240p is gone. How do you know the resolution? sighs Stats for Nerds on YouTube, it's a very useful feature. Use it. Edit: Found one of my posts about it, right HERE. It's in an area where we discuss a movie... hmm. Welp. I won't blame anyone for not looking in an area after a submission has been published and a random discussion started up from over there.

I never got FF 35.0.1 to work at all. Flash player, hardware acceleration enabled, no other tabs open. Chrome works fine

For flash, YT won't ever support 60 FPS (so I've heard), so you need to force HTML 5 player to get 60 FPS at all.

Nope, no 60 fps for me with latest firefox + flash with hardware acceleration enabled. Don't know what's what here. I tested the super metroid clip. Maybe there's a recent thing with newer videos?

It's actually been working since Firefox 36 or 35, I believe. You just to toggle a few hidden settings.

You don't have to use the HTML5 player on youtube. You can switch it off at youtube.con/html5. Not that I see any reason to do so, though.

I know what HTML5 is. I know how to get to it. I was stating that on my computer on Firefox, Chrome and IE that there is no option of disabling it, in other words.... I'm forced to use HTML5 now.
