The DS has hardware-mixed multitracker music instead of normal software-mixed "1-track" (from the hardware's point of view, at least) music?
For the game I'm TASing, Nanashi no Game, that seems to be the case.

Was pretty surprised to find on #12 of this list a track from a game I had never even heard of. I was pleasantly surprised. Very unique style. Trancy. The composer seems to be called zts. Link to video

It's sad that there is no vvvvvv, hotline miami or dustforce among the top 250.

I'd like to make a case for the Souls games here. They sparingly use music outside of boss battles, but the places where it is used, it's all the more effective. Your milage may wary on those, as I'm not sure how well the themes stand on their own without experiencing the actual moment in the game they are associated with. Nevertheless, I feel they're worth a listen. Demons' Souls: Maiden in Black Flamelurker Dragon God Dark Souls: Great Grey Wolf Sif Gravelord Nito Artorias the Abysswalker Gwyn, Lord of Cinder //For something unrelated: The Binding of Isaac has a very haunting Cave Theme yes

Link to video The sad thing is that this glitch has been around since 2008, and the only other video of the music there doesn't even have the whole thing down. :/

My attempt to do better than Wiiguy309 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pLXOvkUEe4. In my opinion this guy adds too much delay and reverb, I tried to make the more neutral sound. Link to video Coming soon: - Rockin' Kats - Conquest of the Crystal Palace.

Alexander Brandon - Snowfall I'm sort of cheating here because this song was to my knowledge not featured in a video game. However, the composer worked on several Epic games (such as Tyrian, Jazz Jackrabbit and Unreal) and a port for this song to SMW was used in a romhack before, so... that counts, I guess.

Hi! I have a request for y'alls. I figured this is the most appropriate topic for it. Can someone recognize where the music in the first 20 seconds of this VOD from twitch is from? I swear for my life that I've heard it before, but I can't find it anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just ask the streamer. Send him a Twitch PM or ask in chat while he's streaming.

TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Every week that goes by, my heart sinks a little lower when I see the lack of MM9 on the Workbench. Link to video BUT THE HYPE REMAINS REAL. P.S. Somewhere in this world, there is still a lonely AzumaK holding his breath.

Due to various circumstances, I've recently found myself playing Dust: An Elysian Tail. The game has a very high quality soundtrack, but my favorite up to the point I've played so far must be the Abadis Forest and Archer's Pass theme. 's pretty magnificient.

I love this song from The Talos Principle. It's both beautiful and ominous. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS2h8ipzzlw

Selections from a game called Fly'n. The impact of a couple of them - namely Cohomology - is neutered because ingame different parts of the the songs drop in and out dynamically as you travel through the levels, but overall, very top notch stuff. My personal favorite is Carbonic.
