This is an improvement of 1742 frames (28.63 seconds) over the previous run.
After I finished the previous run, I had already known about a timesaver. Scepheo picked the game up and found other improvements along the way, but was stuck at the last boss because the ceiling laser would block Daffy's shots. I eventually came up with a strat to make it work without a timeloss and I found that you could trigger the ending by going offscreen to the right in the very last room and touching a glitch tile there.
Note that Bizhawk had added extra lag throughout the movie. Scepheo wanted to list the exact difference between the two runs (the old run and this one), but he seemed to have become inactive and didn't show up for a long time. We had agreed that he would submit the run but because of him being absent for so long and because I wanted to release this run, I decided to submit it today.
The game was played in GB mode instead of SGB mode since Bizhawk doesn't support SGB mode (apparently).
Frame-specific notes
frame 390: There is additional lag that Bizhawk emulated at the title screen.
frame 3220: It was possible to use the glitch tile on the left side to go to the next room. (You need to touch it while moving to the right, so it wasn't initially found)
frame 3315: Instead of flying on the plate and playing this room normally, it is skipped by hovering to the right side of the room. The game would empty your jetpack fuel automatically, but you can use an ingame code to refill it on the pause screen and then hover for 1 frame before it is emptied again. (Note: When I first played picked up this game, I considered the ingame codes like cheat codes and neglected to use them. But they can also be considered as part of the gameplay since using them detracts 10 points from the score (at the bottom of the screen) and they don't really cause anything so special to happen other than changing weapons and refilling health or fuel.)
frame 3900: This is the boss fight Scepheo was having trouble with because the ceiling laser would prevent you from shooting the device on the bottom right. I came up with a strategy to do this fight without losing time.
frame 5300: Instead of killing Marvin, I found that you could go offscreen to the right and touch a glitch block to trigger the credits. I'm not sure if this was possible in VBA or in SGB mode..
Noxxa: I'm allowing the use of the in-game codes in this game, deeming them as intended for normal playing use, as they are described as such in the game's manual, as posted here. Accepting as an improvement to the published movie.
Spikestuff: Poor thing, being neglected. Let's get this thing published.
Then there may be another reason...
Was0x said the SGB mode didn't work well for him when he worked on KDL2 in Bizhawk.
I can't seem to find any explanation from Scepheo himself in our PMs and IRC chats.

Does it sync on any official BizHawk release?

Nice improvements! I personally have no problem with this run using GB mode instead of SGB, as well.
I am somewhat surprised that the game had glitches this severe. It feels like it's made by the same people who did Batman Return of the Joker, and that game was much more solid.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically.
Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.)
Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html)
Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature!
Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

To address this usage of these ingame codes/cheat codes:
The movie rules state that cheats, debugging codes etc. are not allowed (obviously). However, we need to define whether these codes count as cheats or not. They do have the appearance of cheat codes - penalizing the user's score or achievements is nothing new for cheat codes. However, we may find an answer as to whether it really counts elsewhere.
From the movie rules: "Note that, if the button sequence is mentioned in the manual as a normal means of playing, such as level restart shortcuts in the Legend of Zelda or Metroid, it is usually allowed."
As such, let's bring out the game manual:
Manual wrote:
Weapons
Daffy will receive points for defeating enemies. He can use these points
to change weapons and revive health. To do this, press Start to pause
the game. To change weapons, it takes 10 points. Once the game is
paused, press Up twice for a Laser gun; press Down twice for a Big
Bullet gun; press Left twice for a Bouncing gun; and press Right
twice for a Rapid Fire gun.
Hold the Start button, then
press Select to default to
your original weapon. It
costs 10 points to revive
health. To do this, pause
the game and press B.
The manual refers to the ingame codes as though they are a normal means of playing. As such, I'll allow them.
