You mixed up the SMS and GG links. All Chaos Emerald shards (i.e. 100%), please!
Why, oh, why do I even <i>try</i> to understand my own species?

New WIP: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/39699703557590568 Encode: Link to video Green Hill completed and first emerald obtained! I can continue this Sonic 100% run, but before, I need some feedback, because that special stages can drops entertainment and costs much time to obtain a emerald and to beat this game than skipping all emeralds. Collecting all emeralds allows Sonic (or Knuckles) to fight Robotnik on a extra battle, and changes the ending a bit.

It's nice to see a TAS of this game! But how exactly both categories differs?
Games are basically math with a visual representation of this math, that's why I make the scripts, to re-see games as math. My things: YouTube, GitHub, Pastebin, Twitter

100% category is almost the same at 'any%' category, but the only differences is that Special Stages to collect the emeralds (Every Zone 2), A extra battle after the boss of Sliver Castle 3, and the ending changes a bit (If doesn't collect all of the emeralds, Robotnik escapes after defeating on Sliver Castle 3).

Looking good Challenger. Whilst I usually prefer 100% runs, this game is not one that's worth doing so in in my opinion. Compared to a potential any%, it only changes the core game by very small routing differences in only a third of the levels of the game. The extra content it brings are the incredibly dull special stages, and like you say an extra boss. I'd say, run any% and if you really want to show it off, include the bonus fight in separate links in your submission. (Just getting to that fight/boss via cheats/whatever.) That said, looking forward to seeing your progress regardless of what category you choose to go with. Good Luck!

I agree you should switch to any% mainly because it's more entertaining and I don't have to work on it anymore since you always do much more polished runs :-P

Thanks for commentaries, guys. Also, any% run WIP: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/39726345738583809 Encode: Link to video It also completes Yellow Desert Zone. Really with any% run, it avoids a lot of time on the special stages. More than 1 minute is enough to complete approximately half all of the zones.

We started this game on the same day heheheh :p and I didn't knew about this until I post the 100% WIP.

WIP 2: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/39790075771465581 Encode: Link to video Red Volcano Zone finished. More difficulty starts here. Several turnarounds on act 2 and 3, since the gameplay is horrible. 3 rings is necessary to take damage at the same time which Robotnik is hit and enough time to recover 2 rings and 1 ring, respectively.

Awesome stuff keep up the great work! Was cool seeing some of the loops jumped over and stuff. The boss looks pretty technical too. I just want to ask about how building up speed works? Sometimes when falling or jumping over/under a wall you press right up against it (for example at 0:52, 0:54, 1:02). This seems slower since you have to accelerate up from 0 speed. Sometimes you do pass the wall at full speed (e.g. 1:04). I hope that makes sense, I guess I'm trying to say it's like what's in this link but sideways instead http://tasvideos.org/GameResources/CommonTricks.html#JumpingOffLedges Of course this doesn't apply to every game, I wanted to mention it just in case

Because of very slower controls, on 0:52, I pressed right up against the wall to faster turnaround. Otherwise, requires much more time to this. On 0:54, I tested jumping to fall faster, but unfortunately, Sonic lands some frames later. And on 1:02, I jumped because when reaches the wall, you can turnaround faster rather than only spindashing to fall [Sonic 'walking' on air (0:55), with slower turnaround speed].

Last WIP (Only encode): Link to video Blue Marine Zone finished! The gameplay is slower in the water. That's why some (or more) paths looks sloppy. But it's actually optimized.

It's done: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/40035270597139731 Note that I ended input 3-4 hits before of the defeat. I don't know exactly if could be possible to manipulate one more pattern before.
