Some time after Final Fantasy VII came out, Final Fantasy music was practically all I listened to. Nowadays I still listen to it, as well as other videogame music (Mega Man music kicks ass!). I made some piano recordings some time ago, I still have them, I'll give you the links if anyone's interested. The songs I've recorded so far is "Peaceful days" from Chrono Trigger, "Wind Crest" from FFX-2 and "Gathering stars in the night sky" from Xenogears. I'm thinking about recording "Aeris Theme" from FF7 too soon. I know the quality kind of sucks, but it was the best I could do. They are all in .wav format too. Here they are: "Peaceful days" and "Wind Crest" "Gathering stars in the night sky"

I know what song you're talking about, but I don't either know the name of the song. (maybe the name is "save the princess" as you said) You probably already thought of this, but you can easily get your hands on the NSF and then convert the song to .mp3 format if you'd like. Here is a link to the games NSF: http://www.zophar.net/nsf/wizwar.zip I hope this was of some help to you, maybe you wanted it in mp3 format, but hey, converting NSF --> mp3 is quite easy.

Tetrisphere (and anything else Neil Voss touches) has an amazing soundtrack. Without a doubt, one of the best on the 64.

I downloaded your remix just a minute ago Aqfaq, but hte filesize was just 19,7 kb which seems really slow for an mp3, and I couldn't play it with Winamp. You should check the URL or something to see if you're linking to the correct file, I'm eager to listen to it :)

I downloaded the file just fine, but that was yesterday. Let me see if... yep, still working. You have to copy-paste the link, though. Just clicking will refer you back to where you came from. Probably this html-page was about 19,7 kb before you wrote your post. About the music itself, it was okay, but I'd like more variety, or else perhaps loop it half as many times.

Thanks Truncated, I got it to work now. I agree that it was a little repetitive, but megaman boss songs are usually repetitive. I especially liked the drums, good job on that. What program are you using to make your remix, Aqfaq?

True, it's a bit repetitive at the moment. It was made quite quickly, but I'm planning to continue working on it. The most difficult part is to find ways to keep the original mood in it. I use Modplug tracker. Thanks for the feedback.

I have a theme song, and yes it rocks! Although I like the forest music slightly better. But Forest Music would be a bad handle, I think.
haha This topic makes me want to keep up with you guys more. Such a great community. With the college firewall recently forbidding world of warcraft, I made a new midi. Not to hijack, but let's see if anyone can guess- it's closest to the original version than any other I've created. http://www.thezorz.com/agile/midi4.mid Don't play it through browser.

No idea what that is or where it's from. But I'm curious about what program you're using to make your midis. I need a good one, there are some tunes that need to get out of my head.

www.anvilstudio.com It's free, and pretty easy to pick up. Though I wanted to include what's called a trill, and it couldn't do this for me. But it can easily handle all the basic stuff. Edit: Huzzah! New version which can do this.

I have a small collection of SPCs...the battle in EarthBound against Heavily Armed Pokey has the BEST video game music ever.
I'm just a spectator. There was a time when I tried to participate, but I'm really lazy, so. she/her/hers

More than half a decade later... The purpose of the revival of this topic is for users to share their beloved VGM for others to listen. OSTs, arrangements, remixes, whatever. So, we post our favorite video game music now? At this point, I'd like to mention that Konami MSX composers really knew their shit: King Kong 2 MSX OST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ipE2qehD0M Treasure of Uşas Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xgb7NFCL7YE And Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgDpNzc0wl0&feature=related Treasure of Uşas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQ_-1RPZkUk
