I did a bit of testing and figured out some more stuff. Someone should probably dig in on emulator and see exactly what is going on to see if it has a wider application. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDcQr3BtDWc More details with my suspicions and observations are covered in the commentary and in the video description.

Wow i continue to keep being surprised all the time with mm3, with all my years of rom-hacking mm3 ...i've never seen "this" glitch before today! Yea uhhh... dont really know exactly how that might of happened, except that i can just only assume the animation ID number at RAM $5A0,x just starts increasing from 00 to FF ..or it might be $5C0,x (look at 5A0,x and 5C0,x - those are the animation ID, and "frame id" for the current animation) Guessing the code for the enemy is no longer checking the first bolt that normally flys in from the left side of the screen once the "right" half got de-spawned... causing the left half's animation to just keep increasing nonstop.. something like that, dont know how to explain properly. that's my theory.

I found this strat a while ago that saves 16 frames over not doing a menu, you have to do a menu in the correct timing to teleport right when Breakman dissapear on the screen. I found this improvement over a year ago messing around with Rockman 3 Practice rom and i wasn't sure if this was possible in the original game but i forgot to post here, so here it is. I don't know if this is a reason to improve the published TAS but it's a little improvement anyways, here is the video: Link to video

I've seen that before from you and it looks good Baddap. I also started looking at Topman stage. Previous authors did quite impressive work on both subpixel and lag handling. Impressive. I've gotten higher subpixels without getting frames so far. At least I gained a frame when I handled things a bit differently at the long screen with those driving helmet enemies.

I have a lot of work to catch up on. I apologize for being gone for so long. I have a long list of Rockman projects to catch up on: Rockman 3-6 actual run Rockman 3-6 save state music off (enter F3 sound effect) Rockman 3 with second controller codes Rockman PSX remakes 3-6 Rockman X1, X2, and both versions of X3 I'll be able to work on these in about 6 months to a year. I'm going to keep watching Rockman videos and come up with new strategies and improve upon my TASes.

Can't wait to see what you come up with! If you plan on revisiting the Rockman 2 PSX remake, I have some ideas. I'm too lazy to learn PSX TASing and try them myself!

I like the PSX runs. I’d like to see how fast the Super Arrow can be what with having no slowdown. It can really show the elegance of traveling through all levels and to literally have RC and RJ. And yes, I’m still planning on making the original FC movies as well and see how they compare. As soon as I get my new computer, I’m going to play Rockman X, Rockman X2, and Rockman X3. As of right now, I’ll be expected to have a new computer by the end of this year. Don’t worry! These TASes are on their destination!
