Game objectives

  • Emulator used: BizHawk 2.4
  • Fastest uno possible
  • Manipulates luck
  • Uses hardest difficulty (2 players)
  • no dos, tres or cuatro

Comments

This is Uno for GameBoy Color. It's exactly what you expect, and more. More than the standard uno pack and style, there are multiple styles and a second pack to choose from. In this run I choose the fastest settings to get the fastest Uno game... with a catch. Usually in RTA runs of this game, the run ends after a green checkmark shows up after a game. Here... it doesn't happen because i didnt get enough points. the minimum required is 100 points but I go by so fast and my RNG is so specific I don't get the chance to get enough points to get the checkmark. But who cares. I've never played Uno with a score system like that with my family so I don't mind. It's Uno, fun for the whole family, and no score is gonna stop me from enjoying the game as is.

Looks like the site parser read this as a GB game instead of GBC, wonder why? Also I liked that the video title had English and Spanish flipped. "One" for "Juego Niño Color"

This seems to be an issue with the site dealing with gbc games that also work in gb mode, a simmilar issue happened with this submission as well: http://tasvideos.org/4070M.html, though from what I can tell, that game is GBC only, so no idea why it didn’t do it correctly.

Not the site's fault. The .bk2 spec says there should be a isCGBMode flag in the header to indicate that it is GBC. Including the latest release, 2.4, GBHawk movies do not write this flag. It has since been corrected and the next release of bizhawk will properly write this flag.

Who scores Uno? Your family has it right, this game is weird I like it but it's so short. getting that RNG sounds painful.

I replaced the submission file for including the IsCGBMode 1 flag, but it's not helping. Why?

I think system ID is hard set once the submission is made, you'd need a senior staff member to change it.
