Yes, these door transition things are defined as major glitch exactly. But It doesn't matter since the run doing under the major glitch rule. If the run is "no major glitches" one, we says "No major glitches" or "NMG" traditionally.

Right now, a Low Pause TAS is about to be streamed here: https://www.twitch.tv/zfg1 It's a "LOTAD" - Low Optimized TAS Demonstration, as in not perfect. Should still be enjoyable!

I think a TAS with rules identical to the rules at Any% no major glitches on speedrun.com would be worthwhile. The main differences between that and the existing run would be:
Use JPN version No up+down No save/quit
JPN version wasn't used by me originally simply because I didn't know about it nor that it had cool non game breaking glitches. The up+down saved time, but made the run less relatable. And it also increased the arbitrariness of the rules since there are numerous ways to pseudo exploration glitch with it. The save/quit is a pretty minor issue, I personally think it should be allowed but would be nice to go with the most common ruleset in speedrun.com so would defer to it. I know Tompa gave up making runs in these types of categories due to the lack of a clearly defined ruleset but they seem to have rules that everyone can agree on at speedrun.com. Could we not ride that train as well, or what specifically is the issue? I am likely ignorant of all the known glitches.

No one feels like making it. I was working on this TAS, that was not only following NMG rules, but the actual NMG RTA route. I'm at mimics in Palace of Darkness, but I just don't feel like continuing.

I like to comment on submissions and look around the site. You have probably seen me before (if you have been around for a while) either on the site, Discord, or any other social media. I recently took up making temporary encodes for new submissions. Also, I never forget to greet Tompa wherever I find him! "when resyncing stuff sucks it's called Resuccing" - EZGames69 “If an emulator stops being accepted to the site it should be called an emuLAMEr” - EZGames69 "oh no discord, everything I say will now be logged forever, sdfsdf, time to hide" - Masterjun "just had to give therapy to a taxi with daddy issues" - psx Current Projects: Mother 3 (75% complete)

Cool WIP fmp and thanks for the youtube link xxezrabxxx. It is entertaining. Question for you about using the bomb jump to get the moon pearl/etc. I'm assuming it was faster to levitate than bomb jump right? Would you have used levitation in Gannon's tower to skip Moldorm like they do in RTA?

That’s just part of me following the RTA item route. The original plan was to use this to pull data from for RTA practice, so I wanted to do everything an RTA runner would do. In this case, every RTA runner would bomb jump. I would hover moldorm 2 though, since that doesn’t change the items.

I feel like there's so many different ways you can beat ALTTP with so many different glitches and still have it enjoyable that it's doing ALTTP dirty to limit categories. The goal should be to have as many categories as is actually entertaining, not to limit it arbitrarily based on an odd notion that storage is precious and must be reserved only to [x] amount of videos. That being said, I would really like to see that "No Major Glitch" one go through. ALTTP is a very expansive game, and even for an any% run, NMG offers a lot of entertainment. I think it shines best in a 100% run, but it would still yield a highly enjoyable playthrough, I think.

You can skip two pendants and the first Agahnim fight by using the mirror glitch in the overworld. There's a glitch that lets you jump into Death Mountain skipping the Power Glove. Skipping the Power Glove? You'll get the Titan's Mitt anyway. There's a way to skip to Ganon, but you may need the Silver Arrows. Using select buffering in a TAS is for human theory TASes. My "no exploration glitch" path: Skip the Sword and Shield, get the Bow, beat the first boss. Get the Pegasus Boots, get the Book of Mudora. Glitch to Death Mountain, get the Magic Mirror, get the Moon Pearl. Do the mirror glitch, get a Bottle. Get the Tempered Sword. Get the Flute, awaken the duck. Buy a Cure-All Medicine, get the Zora Flippers. Do the fake flute glitch, Get the Magic Hammer, get the first crystal. Get the Ether Medallion, Get the Titan's Mitt, get the fourth crystal, Get the Fire Rod, get the third crystal. Get the fifth crystal. Get the Cane of Somaria, get the sixth crystal. Get the Ice Rod. Get the Hookshot, get the second crystal. Get the seventh crystal. Defeat the second Agahnim fight, Defeat Ganon, get the triforce. Getting the Tempered Sword I think stops showing the message to go to Hyrule Castle... This would be an improvement of an existing TAS, but whether it would obsolete the old TAS or the new TAS would be of a different branch is up for the judges to decide.
