This is the arcade game TRON. Based off of the movie by Disney, the player controls our protagonist on a mission to beat all the levels, and escape the game. This game finishes the first loop within 55.6 seconds (The movie does cut off a bit late, but it does not mess with any controls involved).
The following information shows what is needed to run this TAS, and the next shows some useful information about said TAS.
  • checksum is a06efeadd89cc6031094dde4a2b41e775f847b4d
  • No BIOS required
  • No additional settings have to be changed
Bike
Goal of this section is simple: Trap and destroy the other bike. This is done as fast as possible by closing in on the opponent at the first possible frames (Tightly too).
Tank
Same as bike, but you have to obliterate your opponent with bullets instead of trapping. The TAS closes in on the other tank and shoots, not much else
Cone
Get to the other side of the cone by destroying the barrier in the way. The TAS closes in on the barrier and shoots as fast as it can, swerving the player directly through while avoiding the wall, and explosions (the cone's fragments can apparently kill you as well).
Flashing Circle
Get to the circle while avoiding the spiders that block it. The TAS closes in on the wall surrounding the circle as close as it can without running into it. I chose to end the TAS with this level due to its cinematic ending.
If any improvements or more information is needed, please let me know and ill work with what I get.

Hey Clicher and welcome to TASVideos. TRON the Arcade Game has increasing difficulty from the amount of enemies to avoid, kill and their arrangements depending on the sub game (and MCP's defense becoming longer). This TAS in my opinion barely scratches the surface. It's a great start, but more can be done.

I second this...One loop will not satisfy the requirements for a publication; however, I am actually surprised to finally seeing a TAS of this game. I'm giving you a Yes, because this was a favorite of mine.
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX

Thanks for the feedback. In response, I worked on the TAS some more, and completed all 12 stages. The new submission is already posted, so all of your responses would be greatly appreciated.
