Introducing the Multi-Game TAS Competition! 9 TAS communities have joined forces to host select tasks throughout the year, where you will get a chance to learn how to TAS different games across several different consoles, emulators, and genres. Any and all TASers are welcome, especially people here! The aim of this is to learn new games and see how well you can do in all of them combined, and that suits very well to people in the TASVideos community! I really hope some of you here join in - the first task has been running for about 2 weeks and there are 7 days left until it finishes, so there's still plenty of time to pick up a new game and have an attempt! Join the following server for more information on the competition and how to get started: https://discord.gg/PbY433kFQN Games featuring in this are:
  • Mario Kart Wii
  • Super Mario 64
  • Super Mario Bros. 1/2J
  • Trackmania
  • Battle for Bikini Bottom
  • Red Ball
  • Super Mario Galaxy
  • Super Mario 64 DS
  • Minecraft
This will be running all year, and I will make a post here once at the beginning of each task and once to share videos of results. (I meant to post something here on New Years Day but didn't know where/how to)

First of all, apologies to anyone who was relying on this forum topic to be notified of new tasks last year. I totally forgot I was planning on doing this. That being said, I will aim to not fail this year! Presenting the second ANNUAL Multi-Game TAS Competition - back for 2024!! Once again, several TAS communities have joined forces to host select tasks throughout the year, where you get a chance to learn how to TAS different games across several different consoles, emulators, and genres. If you're reading this, then you're on TASVideos already, and are likely a perfect fit as a competitor, so go and join the Multi-Game TAS Competition discord to get started: Link to video Task 1 - Mario Kart Wii Your first opportunity to accumulate points towards the score will be Task 4 of the MKWii TAS Competition, which starts on February 17th! To join the competition, visit the MKWii TAS Competition discord. To see more of MKWii TASing, join the MKWii TAS discord.

From MKWii TAS Competition #tasks:
Task 4, 2024: SPEEDING in the mall! On Coconut Mall, using up to 1 mushroom, complete LAP 1 as fast as possible. - You MUST touch all 10 boost panels NOTE: Touch boost panel means gaining boost from it (boost flames come out of the vehicle and mushroom timer resets to 60 in info display) NOTE 2: Boost panels are different from boost ramps; boost ramps don't count towards boost panels, which mean the flip ramps at the mall exit don't count towards the boost panels - You may only trick ONCE per escalator This is a solo task, which means you may NOT collaborate with anyone else! Submit your runs to MKWTASCompBot#5407 before 8th March 4:00PM EST. Boost panels location: https://imgur.com/a/XpBdbgk

Is there any way I can read up on the competition details or results or more information without joining a new Discord server each time? Is there a publicly accessible source of information? Or does everything exist purely on Discord?
Warning: Might glitch to credits I will finish this ACE soon as possible (or will I?)

You can find results scattered across YouTube and Twitch from local community sources, but for the most part everything exists purely on Discord. That being said, you don’t need to join a new Discord server for each new task — there is a central MGTC discord server containing information, resources, and results, which you can join here. I’ll make sure to include that in every post, not just the task posts!
