Recently I came across a program that can make a video with sound from an .exe, well, turn the binary file into a video. Out of interest, I did this with BizHawk 2.9.1, at first there was normal noise, then icons, but almost at the end I heard the sounds of a hawk. I have a question, are these hawk sounds an easter egg?? Proof of hawk sounds: https://youtu.be/lVPI2sqlZzQ (I’ll say right away that this is not an advertisement for the channel!) Timecode: 2:23 P.S: WARNING LOUD SOUNDS!

The sound is from the About window in developer builds. It just happens the sounds bitstream alignes with the one of the tool used, same for the icons where most of them are offset.

IMO playing the executable as audio is a better easter egg than the original "your mum" thing ever could be
I contribute to BizHawk as Linux/cross-platform lead, testing and automation lead, and UI designer. This year, I'm experimenting with streaming BizHawk development on Twitch. nope Links to find me elsewhere and to some of my side projects are on my personal site. I will respond on Discord faster than to PMs on this site.
Hey look buddy, I'm an engineer. That means I solve problems. Not problems like "What is software," because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems. For instance, how am I gonna stop some high-wattage thread-ripping monster of a CPU dead in its tracks? The answer: use code. And if that don't work? Use more code.

This was actually removed in 2.4.1. The sound file however still remains in the builds, just completely unused.
