Summer Challenge is an Olympics-esque sports game for the Sega Mega Drive. It was originally released without a license from Sega, but was re-issued with one following the Sega v. Accolade lawsuit. It's also the sequel to Winter Challenge.
Watch as Taylor Adam Smith (nicknamed TAS) compete in archery, equestrian, kayaking, 400m hurdles, pole vault, high jump, javelin, and cycling (in that order) and win the gold medal in all events.

eien86: I always love a good sport's game TAS. There's something very interesting on watching the concept of "superhuman" play taken to its most literal meaning. Here the author plays as a demigod athlete that achieves gold medal in all disciplines with a performance that dwarves all real WRs.
The movie is very visibly optimized. This includes earning two faults in javelin throw, to reduce running time. The choice of category is not only adequate, but also the one that makes the most sense. An any% category could be done at some point, but that would entail achieving lower performance in some categories to just scrape by to achieve the end credits.

First and foremost - it's incredible to finally see ANYONE succesfully jumping the mythical 2.5 in High Jump, which is pretty much thought to be impossible!! (at least on PC version) This is really a white crow! : ) The whole run is pleasant to the eye, thank you for making this : ) Got a question - this seems slightly unoptimized in hmm, one of two ways. One way would be reaching best possible scores which is surely done in Archery, Pole Vault and High Jump. I'm not sure how the rest looks in Genesis version, but (at least comparing to PC version, which could be of course vastly different in some areas) scores could be better in Equestrian (managed 1:03,62, but someone achieved an ever lower time), Kayaking (1:17,81), 400m Hurdles (21,43s), Javelin (99,08 m) and Cycling (42,18s). Take a look at these, some are not listed on YT, so might as well paste all my links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-m4_LLzY0Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogZh4sU8iTM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quvzzydjqFE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr5iqr-lcSg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZnVkRxM_-U Naturally, these could be only possible on the PC version, especially Equestrian and Kayaking look totally uncomparable version to version. Second way would be managing a score just a hair in front of the next contestant, or finishing as soon as possible (assuming this is not a playaround). So _perhaps_ letting go of the Pole in Pole Vault tiny bit faster (tho it looks optimized), shooting arrows faster and achieving a lower score as well - next contestant had 107 points, and throwing a bit worse distance in Javelin (93m or even less would do the trick) would likely achieve a lower time. Really interested how it looks in Genesis version tho : ) Also!, would you be up to trying Winter Challenge, and PC version of the game as well?

Wow, thank you for these kind words. I am working with Winter Challenge at the moment. I've considered the PC version, but I haven't got either JPC-RR or PCem (via WSL) properly working. I will try to lower the times of Equestrian, Kayaking, 400m Hurdles, Javelin and Cycling as soon as I can.
