DrD2k9: Claiming for judging.
DrD2k9: First and foremost, this run contains obviously sub-optimal play which is enough prevent the run from being published on our site.
As far as the goal itself of using the two codes chosen, there is no information in the submission notes as to what these two codes do or why they were utilized in combination with each other. Submissions that use game-genie type codes should include descriptions of both what the codes do and why they were chosen. I can't currently say whether the goal itself would be a publishable goal; I didn't take the time to discuss with other staff given the optimization issues that were already present and warranting a rejection.

Normally I would give a Meh vote to movies with Game Genie codes (see Zohaf's TEYIUT submission), but this TAS is rather suboptimal, making mistakes like jumping multiple times before hitting a hidden block, occasionally slowing down for walls even when you can run straight through them, and doing unnecessary actions that end up losing time like clipping through a row of blocks in underwater 8-4. Thus, I am giving the movie a No vote. Still looking forward to your next work!
SMB2U is the best NES Mario game.

Unfortunately, I will vote “no,” but if you make it visually appealing by optimizing it well (for example, if you use fast-accel whenever you need to accelerate, taking a better route without wasting time, etc.), then I will vote “yes.” But don't let it get you down. From what I can see, you're new to TAS and, you can do better.
