Beating the game as fast as possible
Using game bugs to save time
Pony Island is a suspenseful game consisting of a series of puzzles by Daniel Mullins Games.
You are in limbo, imprisoned by Satan himself in a hostile and malfunctioning arcade machine. Satan hates it when his puzzles are solved or when his mediocre programming skills are exposed. Through unconventional thinking, the player will progress through the game, which will result in them being humiliated.
Prologue
Our first goal in TAS is to play the game and complete it, and then start writing with a different soul to finish the prologue, but the start of the game is broken and needs to be fixed. The game also introduces us to a puzzle in which we have to get the key to the hole. There is more of this in the game, so we'll leave it at that.
The fastest way to enter the game is to move the cursor over the game program to launch it faster.
Act 1
Now it begins. After entering the game, you have to play. Our antagonist will drop a whole Satan's heads, so to make the game challenging, your goal is to get a game over by losing all lives. The fastest way is to go into the fences because it saves a few seconds.
To get through this, we need to enable the laser in the game settings deeper down. The Satan will prevent us from enabling this option by simply minimizing the window. We need to solve the puzzle to increase the window to full size. Attempting to bypass this by clicking on it beforehand will not work.
Before facing the boss, we can skip conversations with soul by clicking on the portal field in frame perfect before hiding it, allowing us to proceed to the boss faster.
Here is the first BOSS. Normally, the boss will block the ability to remove the core by locking it in a locker. Normally, you have to solve 4 puzzles, and of course he will interfere with us, but we can skip this by clicking on the core deletion icon in the appropriate box, which will allow us to skip it. RTA uses the Esc technique to do this and then clicks it, but thanks to the fact that I use libTAS, we can set the cursor in the right spot to remove it faster.
Act 2
This Act in TAS is really short. Normally, our goal is to find the password to the Satan account to enter Pony Island and go through the level sections to get to the core, but we can log into the soul account and activate the portal in a weakly secured place, which will allow us to skip this entire section.
We still have to defeat BOSS to remove the core. It's a fight, we have to avoid his attacks and take out his body parts and deal damage, that's it.
Act 3
This section is long and the same at the beginning, so I don't need to explain it that much.
Before touching the flagpole, open the menu to skip the animations while waiting for the level to load.
In Puzzle Break, I place the signs when the butterfly is in motion animation, which saves a few frames on the butterfly's movement.
As for the next section, there is Jesus throwing stars at us, which will force us to restart the level from the beginning. For TAS, I thought it would be fun to take a risk and not damage Jesus, but one of the butterflies ruined my plans. Of course, if we use the wind and deal the right amount of damage, Jesus will be killed and we won't get the ticket.
On the desktop, our goal is to reach the last core. We must go through all three games abandoned by the Satan to activate the portal.
The last BOSS, here we have to enter the appropriate names he gives us and we have to look at him all the time without getting distracted by what he offers, in the second one we can write anything we want.
This boss game uses the Steam friends list to distract us, but since we use libTAS with a virtual client, we have the game developer instead, and probably with an old or programmed Steam profile for this.
Finale
During the dump section, we can shoot at things that fly at us and fight the Satan.
Did I say we can? Of course we don't have to, we can ignore it and just wait, this also explains why TAS time is so much faster compared to RTA time.
Samsara: Gee, Lucifer, I guess this really was a Pony Island.
Neat little run of a game that, while mostly on wheels (or hooves (or brighter, colorful hooves (or first person hooves in that one part))), still gives some great room to play around and entertain. Bonus points for not killing Jesus, too!

You... didn't kill Jesus?
This is a very campy horror game, with a basic mechanic, which seems to be syncing on an original Surface Pro in the backgruond, cause why not?
One thing that I personally question is when you're in the non-Happy Jolly funtime area (so when it's not all colourful) is when you're shooting the laser, is it not faster to be a "sniper" in a sense versus firing your laser?
The other bit, and this is showcased with some Flash TASes is are you not able to do same frame keystrokes for long words?
Stealing a segment from rythin about this cursed method of typing.

I achieved this by manually editing the input file inside the ltm. Doing this allows for some cursed shit sending any inputs in any order in a single frame, including the same input twice in a row.
One instance is during the terminal where that's a bit more apparent I'll use the example "start" with how it was presented.

At least this could be considered as a minor improvement thing, so not much to worry about, but something to consider for like future TASes.
But not much other to say than a Yes vote with what I watched back.
Encoder/Publisher Note:
Firstly it's 1280x720 to sync. Anyways--
During this game it will create a fake Steam Overlay when Asmodeus.exe pops up.
I am pointing this out cause it appears to be a pseudo one in this case with the TAS playback, in an actual game playback it's someone from your friends list just to be spooky.
I am personally validating this as well to be sure that in the game's case this is entirely pseudo but it's worth warning about.
Oh right, yeah that's a pseudo alias by the looks of things, which is good. ^

Thank you so much. As for typing letters, what you mentioned is the only way to type numbers in the correct order. If I used, for example, the letters s, t, and a, instead of sta it would be tas. The same effect occurs when I first press s -> t -> a and move on to the next frame, it will also type tas instead of sta.
As for the laser, it doesn't matter, the game always runs at the same speed even though the laser seems to slow down the game.
