This TAS was made in BizHawk 2.9.1, BIOS hash "sha1:300C20DF6731A33952DED8C436F7F186D25D3492".
This TAS makes use of damage boosting, mid-air Morph Ball stalling, and other known tricks used in Metroid Fusion TASes.
This TAS's objective is to beat the game as quickly as possible in reverse boss order, within the game/ROM hack's limitations.
I used two Lua scripts: a room timer, and a hitbox/HP displayer. I used RAM addresses 03001260 (for vertical speed) and 0300125E for horizontal speed.
Metroid Fusion: ARBO (MetConst link:
https://forum.metroidconstruction.com/index.php/topic,6008.0.html ) is a ROM hack developed by Raddey Vance, a member of the Metroid Fusion community. Its intent is to provide a more open-ended experience for Metroid Fusion, with a heavy focus on allowing the game to be beaten in Reverse Boss Order, not counting Arachnus/Elephant Bird (required movement/utility), and the endgame bosses of SA-X and Omega Metroid. The ROM hack is in beta.
DrD2k9: From the viewpoint of a casual viewer and someone mostly unfamiliar with the base game (me), there is nothing that appears sloppy about the play in this run.
While there was a concern about obtainign the speed boost so late in the run, without proof that obtaining it earlier would guarantee to speed up the run, it shouldn't restrict publication of this run. If obtainging the boost earlier would be faster, a new run can simply obsolete this one.
As best I can figure the comparitive RTA rules time for this run would be approximately 56.5 minutes, which is roughly 12-13 minutes faster than the
current human record showing obvious superhuman play.
Accepting to Alternative with the "reverse boss order" branch.
