Lego Star Wars II was released on 11 September 2006. It was critically and commercially successful; it has sold over 8.2 million copies worldwide as of May 2009. Critics praised the game for its comedic and "adorable" portrayal of the film series and due to preference for the original trilogy over the prequel trilogy. However, the game's low difficulty, and its Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS versions in general, were received more poorly.
To me, this version is a step up from the first game on GBA. Adding the main hub, Extras, Minikits, Character Variants, etc. Makes me wish someone took this game and made a hack based on the Prequel Trilogy.
btw the run ends when the screen is stuck on the invisible wall
The submission workbench is intended for optimized runs with well-defined goals. Unfortunately, there are a number of optimisation issues with this submission - every tutorial textbox could have been minimised early by pressing the A button rather than sitting through the full 5 seconds of waiting, and your paths throughout the levels could have been much tighter as well to reduce the time spent walking from one objective to the next. Additionally, it is unclear whether Tatooine is the earliest point that the game can be softlocked. While we are able to accept "fastest softlock" movies to Playground, we can't accept every submission that softlocks the game in a slightly different place or way.
If you want to showcase different ways to softlock this game, you can do so by uploading to
User Files. This can also be a useful way to post WIPs of TASes that you're working on to get feedback and advice on how to better optimise before submission, alongside posting on the
Forum and in #tas-feedback on our
Discord server.
