Blades of Steel is an ice hockey video game by Konami. It was made for Arcade, NES, and Game Boy, as well as ported to various computer systems like Commodore 64 and MS-DOS. This TAS improves the current publication by nearly 4 seconds.

Objectives

  • Wins a game against the CPU as fast as possible
  • Hardest difficulty
  • Emulator used: BizHawk 2.11.0

Notes

I scored one less goal than the current publication, manoeuvred my player to my net, and ended input so that my opponent gets stuck on the net.
nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: Getting stuck doesn't seem to be an obvious tactic, but it sure does make the difference here. Excellent job!

Great! The setup looks a bit long though because we need to go behind the net. A faster setup surely exists.

If it involves picking the first teams that appear on the menus, let me just say that I intentionally chose the Edmonton Oilers and would prefer that team being used for the publication.
