This is a Tool-Assisted Speedrun of the USA version of Mega Man 2 on Normal difficulty using the Glitchless ruleset.
The goal of this movie is to complete the game as fast as possible without using glitches or unintended exploits. All movement, stage progression, and boss fights are performed using intended game mechanics, with optimization focused on routing, movement precision, weapon management, and boss strategies.
Lag reduction was considered whenever possible, and every route and weapon choice was selected to produce the fastest overall completion. Any apparent detours are intentional and result in a net time save later in the run.
This movie aims to represent the fastest known completion of Mega Man 2 (USA) on Normal difficulty under the Glitchless ruleset using fully deterministic and reproducible input.

Maxi. Welcome to TASVideos. :) You remind me when I first joined, and choose a very difficult game to take on. For both of us, the game choice was already heavily exploited by a number of people. Well, I don't blame your choice as it is a very popular and great game to TAS. The problem is, your execution is not measuring up to the existing skill that is demonstrated in other Mega Man TASes. In your first round, I immediately noticed hesitation. So to give this a fair review, I decided to watch the existing "zipless" run and saw that our existing publication already shows a lot more optimization that your movie.
I see that this is basically your introduction to our site, but we can only accept highly optimized submissions. In this case, many before you have already set the standard of that optimization and it is going to be very hard to beat. I do wish you well on your en devours here, but use our site resources and compare your work to anything that we have. By doing so, you can be guaranteed a successful publication.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I am rejecting this submission based solely on optimization.
Maxi: I'll keep that in mind, but I want to clarify that my TAS is "Glitchless," not "Zipless." Thanks.
