nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: Uploading improvement movie.
nymx: The improvements show quite a bit. The 1st boss is no longer lagging behind, although I would have expected it to be slightly faster than the improvements showed...but they are exactly equal from my observation. On the other hand, the 2nd boss is destroyed much quicker. The end result is 2 seconds more of IGT, and an over all improvement of slightly more than 2 seconds.
So, it has been 13 days since the improvements have been made, and nobody is finding anything else. I am no longer seeing anything that stands out, and this completely satisfies the rule:
your submission must match or beat all known records
Note: I relate that "match", against your 1st boss performance.
Accepting to "Standard".

This submission is visibly not optimised. Take WhiteHat94's WR: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzA7UNLsInk - when I time it next to the submission using the same start/end frames, the RTA run beats the first boss two seconds faster. No vote.

I hadn't noticed that video XD I searched everywhere to see if there were speedruns of this and found nothing

This game even has an SRC page where you can find the WR.
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

This is why I like to make comparison videos. The first boss fight is faster for the WR. Link to video But now, I am pursuing the new updated version. I will report back on my analysis of it.
